I don't know about you guys, but things have been awful lately.

It's a nice feeling to come back after all this time, and not only that, but be chosen as mod again as a welcome back gift, I'm trying to be a regular. But it's being made difficult. I'm being shown the darker side of Sonic Zone every day now, not just in the amount of drama sparked by misunderstanding, but the overall behavior of the majority of people here.

I don't know, am I being given a wrong image here? I see people abusing the N word everywhere I go, calling each other various things, selectively hating on people and giving this place a bad image. It's not what I want to see, but I feel like I have no power here, even as a mod, and that trying to be fair and nice makes me the bad guy.

Also, to Nova: you're clearly not the sharpest tool in the set, but I am honestly extremely sorry for all the insults and shit you get from the others.

That's it. I want everyone to wake up and realise where they are. This place has grown up, but it's not Drama Zone, it's Sonic Zone, a community, a family.
And being here leaves a sour taste in my mouth. I hope you can all understand my concern, I'm not going to point any fingers, I'm not starting more Drama, I just want people to look at themselves, and this site, and realise what's happening here.


Also, I want mods to refrain from letting power to their heads. We're not overlords. We're here to keep the peace, not tear it apart.

This is most specifically directed at people who use the Chatbox. To those Forum-Exclusive, don't worry too much, keep being awesome.

I think I kinda understand what you feel like. These days I don't get to come here that often due to not having consistent internet, but when I do something stupid is happening. Everyone is being so cruel to eachother and so hateful and rude and I don't like seeing it. I have always thought of the people here as an extension of family to me and I hate seeing everyone so mean and disrespectul all the time. This is something I've wanted to say for a while but I was pretty sure I'd be ignored..so thanks Tana.

One, it's going to encourage and attract new people who engage in that kind of behavior. Two, it's going to repel new people that don't want to be in that environment and alienate people that are already here.

Also, remember that the chatbox is on the home page and every page of the forum. There are minors on this site that would get in a lot of trouble if porn were to show up in the chat. Not to mention knowingly displaying it to minors would put this place in a legal grey area at best. It's creepy. You should stop.

Correct, Tana-senpai. Sonic Zone is like a second home to most of us here, not a skirmish, so let's not treat it like one. If we keep having large conflicts like what just happened on the chat moments ago, then it's just going to scare new members off and/or make fellow members leave. Also yes, I'm sure by now we all know that most of what people say here is friendly banter, but for the love of God don't take it too far. Know your limits. It may be the internet after all, but it's not like people behind the screens don't have feelings. Like for once let's just be nice and friendly to each other.

Also, please consider the fact that most of us are young'ns here. Don't post porn on the chat for everyone to see, OK? One, it's against the rules. Two, parents might hover over us once in a while to check what "we are hiding". Finally Three, people will get the wrong idea about you.
