Why did I fall out in the first place? Well, a bunch of reasons.
1).Most importantly, and most jarring for me, is how characters are handled. When an actor/actress can't come back to the project for whatever reason, that character, more often than not, has to be written out.The writer could have some proper plan for the character, but because some actor decides to be a jerk to the director or something, that character has to be abruptly written out in a move that feels very unnatural and uncomfortable.
2).The ending. If the ratings are high, they add in everything and all the things to make sure the show lasts as long as possible, like love triangles that don't go anywhere, on and off relationships, unfathomable plot twists, and ever dodging the point.
But if the ratings are low, then it ends, abruptly, and more often than not, unsatisfyingly. I've grown to a point where I don't even start a show until after it's ended, unless it's something like Fairy Tail where there is no point and it's just the characters doing stuff, but in that case, they run into my 1st problem.
I could go on into the other little things that bother me about most live-action shows like acting and range of expressions, but those 2 are the factors that really keep me away.
With that said, I'm turning to people for advice on what shows to watch, cause I'm looking to broaden my horizons n' stuff.
What genres are you interested in?
Comedy, action or romances I guess.

Primeval is all of those three xD
Check it out!

You could even consider something like Bones or CSI all three of those to an extent.

Yes, Bones is a fantastic show.
All the crime dramas actually kind-of fit your description.
Maybe something like Eureka would be of your interest as well
i uh
like Doctor Who.
has a bit of comedy, action and romance.
Thanks for the suggestions everyone, I'll watch a few episodes and see how it goes.
Breaking Bad is a really good show. You should watch it.
Same with The Walking Dead, although I've never seen that one.
Also Community is a good comedy. Only watch the first three seasons though.
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is another good comedy.
I don't want to watch The Walking Dead. I'm not into these hopeless kind of shows.
Breaking Bad and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia are great. Sunny dipped in quality a couple years ago but recent seasons have been hilarious. Also, yeah, Doctor Who. Pushing Daisies was pretty good, wish it had gotten more than a couple seasons. Louie is very funny. Mad Men is pretty good, but not really suited for marathoning, do not try to watch more than one or two at a time.
Well, if I were to only choose 2 to start with, which should they be?

Or me!
If you're gonna watch Primeval then your second show should be a comedy. I recommend Community first.
Watch Breaking Bad.
Also, Sherlock. Only 9 90 minute episodes. And Supernatural but.... eh it's hit and miss.
Did you watch TV yet?
I don't have cable.
Did you Hulu/Netflix/legally pay for TV yet?
I has Netflix.
So I'm guessing you haven't bothered to watch any of the TV shows recommended to you.
Your backlog of things is only growing.
I've been watching Primeval, so ha.
Oh.
I was hoping it would be a show that I recommended so we could talk about it.
Oh well.

No and I never will.
Wow, okay. Why the harsh reaction?

How come?
I don't want to.
Doesn't seem like my kind of show.

Wasn't trying to be harsh. My apologies.

And Onani Master Kurosawa didn't seem like my kind of manga.

Onani Master Kurosawa didn't take you 30 hours to get through.
Why do you think I was recommending short manga?
They were recommended based on quality?
Well, you could just check out the Pilot (Episode 1) to see if it's interesting enough.
That's what I do for Anime / TV Shows and Manga / Comics.

Well, that too obviously, but the mangas that I choose to read in the first place are short because I can finish them quicker. If I had spent a long amount of time on something that I didn't end up liking then that would be a huge waste of time. I'd just rather not take the risk unless I think it's something that I probably will like.

A lot of TV shows/comics only pick up a good way into the series. Always Sunny for example has a pretty rough first season.

Yeah, ofcourse. Everything is established by then.
But, the pilot was good enough to get people to watch Episode 2. And the entire season was good enough for people to watch the entire thing.
Eh, honestly I'm sure Primeval is a good show and all but I just don't have the time to commit myself to a TV show that I probably wouldn't like. I kinda have a backlog of things to do myself. I've even been forcing myself to read these short mangas that only take an hour to get through. I'm that lazy.
