Activision Blizzard is still flush with cash, that's for sure. Their latest press release is also flush with stats concerning some of the biggest properties in the industry. Continue reading for some highlights and thoughts.


  • As of March 31, 2012, the Call of Duty franchise had approximately 40 million monthly active users.


  • As of April 30, 2012, more than 10 million gamers have registered for Call of Duty Elite, including more than two million premium annual memberships the company has sold for the online service.


  • In North America and Europe, including accessory packs and figures, Skylanders Spyro's Adventure was the #3 best-selling game overall in dollars across all platforms for the first quarter of 2012 and the #1 selling kids' title in dollars in the quarter.


  • World of Warcraft Remains #1 Subscription-Based MMORPG with Approximately 10.2 Million Subscribers as of 3/31/12

Meanwhile, Diablo 3 & Black Ops 2 Preorders are massively rising.

Meh. i dont really like Activision much. They like to whore out there franchises a bit too much (Tony Hawk, Guitar Hero, Spider-man.) But they arent as bad as some of the other companies.
