The NES can do that too.
I know, but it is still pretty cool, especially the sound.
Speaking of the Nes and sound (If you like Rick Astley's music): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HNTOMyPUCPg

That's pretty odd, it was a NES version of Rick Roll that sounds exactly like the original, cut due to memory constrains, you can watch the CGR review of it though.
I will never know what Touhou is.

I will never know what Touhou is.
A bullet hell shooter, and sometimes fighting games, about the adventures of a Shrine Maiden and a Witch in a fantasy land surrounded by fairies, gods and demons based on Japanese mithology. The music is really good.
Funny thing is that many of it's fan works surpass the original games:

And like the music video you just saw, millions of remixes from the games are out there.
I'm not a Touhou fan myself but even I have to applaud it because it has the most talented fanbase I've ever seen.

This only makes me more confused about the whole thing.
It's a Japanese indie shmup, made by one guy, that became very successful.

that became very successful.
This is the part that confuses me.
Now that you mention it, I guess there's nothing so special about it.
Yes, the characters are really likeable and the music is amazing, but other than that there's nothing differentiating them from the crowd.
I guess people, myself included, just like it.

Oh, yeah? Which one is your favourite? (https://i.imgur.com/VzE1X.jpg)
I like the blonde one with hazel eyes that's wearing a dress.
