I think Sonic 4: Episode 2 is better than the Episode 1. I like the gameplay, special stages and bosses more than in its predecessor. They did a much better job there. Also, I think the music is a bit better.

I agree with that, but something that I think does look better in SADX version is the water, I see that it fits better in that version.

Yeah, I do think Sonic Triple Trouble is the best 8-bit game of the franchise too. I think it's a pretty solid platformer and the gameplay and bosses are good.

Tails doesn't die in the game. If you say that because Tails appears alone in the sky in the bad ending, how could you explain the fact that in the good ending of the game, Sonic and Tails appear in the sky, and none of them dies in that ending.

The Game Gear version is harder because of the smaller screen of the console, also the Underground Zone Boss is harder because, if I remember well, the bombs pattern is randomized, unlike the Master System version where the bombs always fall the same way. Nevertheless I still think is a great game, but I think is better to play the MS version.
