It has 3D graphics. ACTUAL 3D. Like, Avatar or something. And you don't even have to wear any glasses or anything!!
Oh, and it's backwards compatible with DS and DSi games.
HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE!?!?!?!?!?
if the 3DS doesn't need glasses WTF do the theatres!?

The info I've seen comes right off of a PDF on Nintendo's Japanese website.
They're going to officially unveil it at E3.

E3 isn't that far away, it's going to be interesting what they show us on TV! :)

http://kotaku.com/5499823/nintendo-3ds-could-borrow-3d-trick-from-iphone the video might explain some things.
Anyway, wow. Now THAT would be worth the money to me.

Everyone wants to get in with Apple, but this doesn't mean it's a bad thing for us really.
wow, i knew about the motion sensing and fancy graphics chip but THIS!? I LOVE YOU NINTENDO!
this is why nintendo rocks so hard :P

that does make a good point but you must think of cost and if this is worth the money or not it might fail epically

I doubt that. Nintendo has a knack for being the cheapest in the business and STILL turning the highest profit.
This looks pretty badass, I hope it's good. It's not like Nintendo ever had a bad console...
*cough* Virtual Boy.

You mean Nintendo tried this before?
This should be interesting 8)

Yep, Nintendo works in so many wierd ways like that...it just continues to work though!
i just hope it doesnt attract too much shovelware...

I don't think it will have as much as the DS. For some reason, I think it would be harder to make a game in 3D than one with just 2 screens (this new one will have 2 screens too, as well as the 2 cameras).
it will support games without 3D, so yeah...
I saw a video of a game using the cameras of the dsi to create a 3d lution
the image isn´t "out" of the screen, it is "inside" the screen

But that's on a DSi. We're talking an entirely new system here.

I know but I was just saying that this could be how they do it or at least the new sistem will have some kind of sistem to give a better xpression of a 3D experience
it seems this is an april fools... AGAIN

No!!! It's actually real! I checked Wiki for info and maybe Nintendo's site.
This is definitely legit. But, SS12, you shouldn't blindly trust Wikipedia. Anyone can edit it, so speculation is often treated as fact over there. ;)
Anyway, there was a press release on Nintendo's Japanese website. This is real. More info will be be released around/at E3.
i cant wait until E3 XD
me niether, although I'm still edgy about the aparrent 3D

3d still makes no sense to me, I mean why the hell do we need glasses with movies, produced specifically for 3D, with experts that specialise in 3D tech, yet nintendo can make 3D with out glasses? hmmm.....
enjackal still doesnt understand...
no, I do not, CAN SOMEONE HELP ME, PLEEEEEEEZ!!!!!!!!!!!

Nintendo has harnessed the power of black magic. It explains their huge profits and their increasing lack of a soul.
DAMNIT!!! that was my goal in life/death!
Lol, never tested it or anything, but it sounds awesome from what i've heard from a driend that haz it :D
the 3ds is awesome
-Source- (http://mynintendonews.com/2011/10/20/nintendo-3ds-record-10-minutes-of-3d-video-on-nintendo-3ds-with-november-firmware-update/)
"Respected Japanese news publication The Nikkei has revealed that Nintendo 3DS owners will be able to take up to ten minutes of 3D video footage and upload them to external sites such as Youtube. Nintendo will reveal more information at its press event which takes place tomorrow."

It's not much, but I think it's a nifty little addition. Bring on the firmware update, oh and that conference! :3
Sounds awesome. Should have been available at launch, seems like a pretty big draw.
The 3DS needs flash/youtube/etc. Now

hey Jazz on my 3DS i have starfox 64 3D and i tried the gyro controls on the game and its really hard so i recommend using the regular stick controls
The gyro controls are amazingly accurate and challenging. Doesn't even seem like a gimmick

Well duh..
well i guess it does make the game more challenging
But when you play racing games, don't you find yourself tilting the controller/DS?
I guess this would play to that

Not personally, no.
The gyro controls can be an ass to use because you have to sit straight and generally can't use the 3D.. but on the other hand like I said it's amazingly accurate and not like a gimmick. I'll certainly try it out.
