Yeah but he'll make me watch some Korean film or suck his dick in return.

Only fair.

So, I read Volume #2: I forgot the title.
It's still being Shounen McShounen.

Honestly, I don't have a lot of comment, as there isn't any major plot progression... Just, character building. Still interesting though.

Now I wish I made you read Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer instead. You'd probably enjoy that one much more.

He probably really would

Maybe I'm misremembering, but didn't a character die in that volume?

Yes, yes that did indeed happen.
The thing is, that character always dies, you know what I mean?

You haven't read or seen a lot of shounen, I assume? I already saw it coming on the page he appeared for the frist time... so, yeah...

But again, it was nicely staged.

Elija2

Dude, I lost tears when I got to that part.

Well, shit, mate.
For me it wasn't that impactful after having seen it so many times before, sorry man...

Elija2

Man, I haven't read this manga in years so I hope it doesn't actually suck.

#216
Book 3 The Beast Knights

Ichigo Kurosaki is mad that he isnt powerful enough and wants to be the he-
wait, wrong manga.

Anyway, Yuuhis Counterpart is a cool character. And Animus has appeared. That happened. All in all it was okay.

Though

Elija2

Oh god, this is the least original manga ever, isn't it?

Hakudamashi

Nothing is original.

What matters is if it did it well or not.

Okay but I always thought it was a pretty original manga and learning that it uses the same tropes as any other manga kinda sucks.

Well, I think it's doing it on purpose. As I mentioned before, it simply flips the goals from "saving" to "destroying". Not only that, but it has some jokes about tropes itself.
inb4 they don't actually destroy anything

But yeah, I can draw alot of parallels to Bleach. The only thing that's missing off the top of my head is that these Golem creatures ultimately appear to be humanoid, instead of monsters, just like the Hollows.

Define "humanoid".

Hakudamashi

arms, legs, hands, feet, fingers, toes, head, shoulders, elbows, knees.

To put things better in perspective, some people consider Lucario(Pokemon) humanoid.

Well, Human-Like?

Like, the hollows in bleach originally looked like this

and the more powerful they got, they more humanoid they become, ultimately looking like this

Elija2

Then how are the Golems in Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer humanoids? Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself but there were a couple Golems that under no circumstances could be considered human-like.
