Set before the previous game, Arkham Origins shows Batman encountering many of his villains for the first time, including Deathstroke.
Batman: Arkham Origins will be released on Wii U, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC October 25.
Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate will be the 3DS and Vita companion to the console release, launching the same day. Developed by Armature Studio, the game is a 2.5D Metroidvania-style action game. Armature was founded by leads from the Metroid Prime series. When this game is released, it will be Armature's first original game. Just today, Armature's work on a cancelled Mega Man X FPS was revealed.
Wait, is it the origins of the Asylum or Batman?
Cause if the latter, then the title makes no sense.
Also fuckyeahdeathstroke

Neither.
The Origin between Batman's relationship with some of the villians.
What does that have to do with Arkham?

It's more of a brand now so fans of the franchise are not confused into thinking it's some other batman game. Or it could be more behind the story; i havent checked my mailbox to get the new issue of G.I.
And here's hope that this will be the second 3DS and Vita game to be good on both platforms.
I think fans of franchise would have kept their eye on this without Arkham in the title, unless Arkham is involed somehow...
Oh, you meant the recent Goddamn Batman fans, not the long time Batman fans.

For the record, Deathstroke existed before Deadpool.
Then again, he might as well be a Power Ranger.
I dont know, all of these Suited-Ninja Type characters make me think of Power Rangers.

The 3DS/Vita Game is called Batman Arkham Origins Blackgate?
...and isnt Blackgate like... Arkham's counterpart prison for the sane Supervillians?
I have no clue.

I need to beat Asylum and City...
Still wondering what this has to do with Arkham...

Sounds like Arkham does have something to do with the story.

Duuuuuuuuuuuude
If it's anything like Max Payne 3's multiplayer, this is gonna be tits.
Multiplayer?
if you're getting the game on Wii U, don't get your hopes up, because Wii U isn't getting it.

Um... why?
Because there isn't a big enough online install base, apparently.

Gee, rip away a feature from a console that isn't that well liked by the public in the first place.
I swear, if they complain about the Wii U port not selling...
QuoteSo, as you might expect, Nintendo fans are likely disappointed to learn that Arkham Origins' multiplayer is skipping the Wii U. Nintendo's console could really use a boost, especially in terms of its multiplayer offerings, and Arkham Origins could have been it.
In fact, as it turns out, that lack of a multiplayer fan base was the main reason Warner Bros.' decided not to include multiplayer on the Wii U version of Arkham Origins. They decided that it was best to focus on "platforms with a sizable multiplayer audience."
Unfortunately, by leaving out multiplayer in Arkham Origins, Warner Bros. is ostensibly dooming the Wii U version to fail. We've seen this before, and we'll probably see it again: publishers avoid the Wii U because it doesn't have a large install base, and the Wii U doesn't have a large install base because there aren't many games available for the console. At least the crème de la crème of multiplayer titles – Call of Duty: Ghosts – is still coming to the Wii U with multiplayer in tact.
Congratulations, the 8th gen just started, and already 2 games have been boycotted on principle...
Have we learnt nothing?

Everyone else is fine and dandy.
I'm fine and dandy, I was gonna get the PS4 ver. for the Adam West Batman skin.

Typo, meant PS3, sorry.
But not anymore.
lol
I always laugh when I see people "boycotting" games.
K, laugh away. I'm still not buying it.
I too completely skip games I wanted to buy before simply because a Mode is missing on a platform no one would use it anyway (and wouldnt buy that version in the first place) - meanwhile complaining about game budgets but "boycotting" games when they cut costs there where its best - but fuck that, they should pay thousands of dollars every month to keep the servers up for all the zero people playing and added cost for porting - for a mode that no would use in the first place - in a game where the multiplayer isnt even an important focus or a big part.
Genious.
Or, y'know, not make a Wii U version.
Or not make a multiplayer in the first place
Or cut the price of the Wii U ver.

The only one of those three that makes sense is the last one.
The other two make absolutely no sense.
Regardless, as it is now, this game doesn't have my support.
lol
I dunno what's so funny about a group of people banding together against something that upsets them.

There's actually a group of people doing something so dumb?
I mean, I'd get it if you would've gotten the Wii U Version...
BUT YOU WOULDNT HAVE IN THE FIRST PLACE - ITS SO FUCKING STUPID.
Because principles
You're screwing a group of people who were gonna get the Wii U, and show little care about it.

No one on the Wii U was gonna get this game for the Multiplayer.
Regardless of your false assumption, even if noone was gonna use the multiplayer, how can you expect people to be ok with paying the same price for a version with less content in it?
Unless the singleplayer experience is bar none the best by far on the Wii U ver....
Kyo, Wind.
NO ONE WAS PLANNING ON BUYING THIS GAME FOR MULTIPLAYER TO BEGIN WITH.
Just take it as an extra feature.
I'm sorry but I agree with Haku. I'm not supporting a developer who's going to fuck people over like that, cutting costs or not. Rather than divert attention to more popular online space, they should be working on making all online spaces more accessible.
Even if they DO cut the price I still see it as a dick move and I won't support them for that kind of practice.
Doesn't matter which version of the game we were going to get, if we got it, we'd be supporting practices we don't believe in.
They could certainly have used this opportunity to makea better game using the Wii U's power advantage, making people more likely to get the Wii U version- but no, instead they decided to LET the Wii U suffer on it's own. See, the thing is that here, rather than just being forced hand by a failing system, they could have made a tangible difference with their following. It would have been much more worth just that extra boost in confidence, because it would broaden the market.
You werent going to get this game either way lol
And who'd have told you that?
I know you wouldnt lol
Um.
No. No you didn't.
?
O-O I have to agree with almost everybody on that point. Cutting costs and stuff isn't how the true developers make games. Even if the game turns out to be the best badass thing you've ever seen, if this cut cost thing is true (which I believe but other people weirdly don't), you might wanna remember that the game could've been better.

Wii U Version is not full price due the lack of Multiplayer.
$10 cheaper.
$49.99 instead of $59.99

And with that $10.00, I'll get Super Metroid.
