Well I can't confirm everything 100% considering my knowledge of these studies come from documentaries but I have no reason to believe they aren't facts.
Well, are they proven facts or scientific theories?

Which means I actually do have a choice, doesn't it? :P
Well if your persona prevents you from accepting, then you really don't.

Proven facts, according to the documentaries.

At least the decision isn't in your hands either.

But it is my decision to buy you something whether you want it or not.

But then you've wasted 3 bucks that you could have spent on 1/15th of Sonic Boom!
Wait, you don't get your money back if someone refuses a gift? Didn't they implement a refund feature?

Hakudamashi

Oh yeah, that's a thing now.

I guess you won't be able to spend that money on Sonic Boom then. Might as well spend it on EDF.

What are the three things you would bring with you on a deserted island?

Suddenly I din't feel like it anymore.

Either way it's been proven that dolphins can understand human speech (much like a dog) and can be taught to do tricks on command. What makes this so interesting, however, is that unlike a dog dolphins also have the ability to perceive and create things. For example, I'm sure you've seen videos of cats or dogs looking into a mirror and thinking that what they see is another animal.

This is because, as previously stated, most animals can't understand the concept of a mirror and instead view their reflection as another animal.

HOWEVER

Along with humans various other animals have been proven to be able to understand the concept of their reflection. Among them are dolphins, elephants and monkies. You can read more about that here. You can also view this video:

The video is more about religion but I think it gets the point across. The more we study animals, the more relatable to humans they become. Scientists are even suggesting that dolphins are intelligent enough to warrant them the same rights as humans. No, I'm not kidding. Dolphins have been show to be able to be able to come up with ideas, communicate with other dolphins and preform them in unison. It's also suggested that dolphins in particular have developed a language just as humans have and that, one day, we may be able to translate it into English.

I'm rambling on a bit because I can't remember exactly what I wanted to get across but the point of this question was to make you rethink how you view animals. Apes and Dolphins both have expressed the ability to understand English, with the former actually being able to use sign language to communicate. It's a funny thing to think that years from now we could fluently be speaking Dolphin.

Let me know when apes and dolphins learn to do science and sweet kickflips.

Ioshyriku

I don't think it would be hard for an ape to learn how to do kickflips.
