I think the reason they aren't doing the Buu saga is that there isn't much filler in the Buu saga, and Kai exists to remove the filler. So, yeah, not much of a need for it.

epicwinning

but they could make major money out of remaking the buu saga it makes me mad that they had the voices for it and didnt do
btw wats a filler

TheGameNinja

Filler is anything that was in the anime but not the manga. And all of the long, drawn out powering up sequences and screaming.

Unless I've just blocked it out of my memory, the Buu saga stuck fairly close to the manga.

R u kidding? The FUNimation translation for the entire Buu Saga was completely wrong
One of the biggest examples being them saying Kid Buu is the strongest form when it's actually the weakest

That's not quite the same thing, though. That was done on the translating side of things, not the Japanese side of the actual production.

The Reason is that Dragonball was supossed to end with the Cell Saga.
Toryama just wrote the Buu-Saga on request or something like that.
Since KAI is the 'Directors Cut' its obvious it would end at the Cell Saga.

TheGameNinja

He wanted to end it after Freeza, too.

Why not stop there?

I thought the Frieza saga was the most iconic one
Y'know, with the whole Goku dying thing...

But I honestly feel like DBZ should've ended at the Cell saga
The Buu saga, as much as I enjoyed it, just felt like... "filler"
