Sonic 2 was a preety huge success but on the game gear? I thought it would be the same but no... This time you had to rescue TAILS! Going into hard zones like underground zone... sky...thingy zone... green hill... And if you don't collect all chaos emeralds you'll see Tails face in the sky during the credits! Which that means that tails has died! (His death only affects the 8bit trilogy, that's why sonic 3 never came out on the GG/SMS)...

Yeah the small screen of the game gear, and the randomized bomb pattern on the Underground boss in the Game Gear version makes it more difficult than the Master System version. Plus, originally Green Hills was going to be the first level but they switched the levels around for some reason. I prefer the Master System version, but honestly it's not my favorite 8-bit title.
