I see it as a spawning time for racism and other such things. Because everyone always bashes eachother and their beliefs until it's over. It's also a time when everyone questions everyone else based upon their opinions or thoughts on the subject.
But yeah, I do the presents thing. But I also would like to consider it to be quite a romantic time of year... But I have noone to share such a time with so the presents are what I do. *not religious*

I guess its safe to say this topic is for Christians only
W00t, christianness :D
Um, I see it as a time to be happy about Jesus' birth, and presents, but most likely just Jesus' birth this year XD (*Might not get anything for christmas* xD)
You know, most people would be like "AWWW, nothing?!" but I'm pretty fine with it O-o

me too
Ugh. Christmas. The day when I'm expected to get up early and rush into the living room, inhumanly excited about the 2 gifts I'm getting (which I do enjoy, don't get me wrong...).
Please, mum, let me sleep. I'll open them later.
I got to spend the entire day with my girlfriend last year, granted this was a little after christmas, I was still happy ^^
Christmas is the magical time of year where Jesus rises from the dead, and we sing him lullabies to make him go back to sleep.
Can't it be both?
well Christmas is great for me i mean everybody gets time off and it gives you a chance to see all my usually busy family. Which i dont get to do often >:C I mean my sister's wedding just past and most and if not all of the the family on my dads side wernt there sooo its diff wen it comes to Christmas anywais

THAT is one of the funniest things I've ever heard! I can just imagine someone saying that, it's just so silly and wacky! Now if only I had lullabies to make me go back to sleep...
Birth of our savior and stuff. My mom makes us go to church on Christmas. And I get cool gifts from mah mom's client.

this.
I kinda have the same view.
I see Christmas as a time to enjoy the company of your family, lover, and friends (explains why I'm online most of Christmas...lol)
The fun times together, making and eating Christmas dinner, even going out and playing in the snow with your siblings (if you have snow or siblings, which I have neither xD)
Traveling, seeing relatives who come down (and celebrating my uncle's birthday lol)
Church services...ehhh. Most families go to church around Christmas to celebrate the birth of Jesus (I heard somewhere that he had actually been alive for a little while before the Bethlehem Christmas this. Not sure if this is true or not...).
How it usually goes, however:
get up, exchange gifts
sit on ass all day
go to grandma's for dinner
exchange more gifts
go home
play with new things.

Whereas in my case it's:
1. Get up and open presents.
2. Play with new stuffs.
3. Eat candy and other foods I enjoy eating.
4. Play with stuffs again.
5. Imagine what it would be like if I had a life...
6. Go to bed.
7. Repeat from 2-6 for 2 weeks, then I go back to normal schedule.

Well if we're doing this...
1. Get woken up at an unGodly hour
2. Go back to sleep
3. Get yelled at by mum because I won't wake up
4. Stumble into living room and open presents
5. Somehow stay awake to play with presents
6. Eat cinnamon rolls...mmm. Cinnamon rolls.

Birth of our savior and stuff. My mom makes us go to church on Christmas.
That only happens to me when Christmas lands on a saturday >.<. I remember the year I got Halo 2. I was all ready to play it, but my parents were like, "No, you can't play until after the candle-light service!" Oh boy was that a year I wont forget. That pain of the wait to play Halo 2! D: That might've been our last year in the old building... come to think of it, that was sunday... (When we moved to this new building, we had to go on saturday nights because some other church is already there) But my point still stands >:O
Here's what it's like for my on Christmas day.
1. (Christmas Eve) Can't go to sleep and almost throw up.
2. Wake up, wait...
3. Finally go downstairs.
4. Open Presents
5. Play around with em'
6. Eat Breakfast
7. Go play with them again.
8. Stay up.
9. Go to bed.
cos' i get like a thousand presents on xmas and i have strict parents -.-':
1. Wake up
2. Wait til' like 9-10am for mum n' dad to wake up
3. Eat breakfast
4. Wait for mum and dad to finish their cuppa tea
5. Open presents one at a time
6. Clean everything up
7. Set everything up
8. Play around for like 2 months with new toys
9. Carry on with normal life
