this is a picture i took of a dust storm we had in the morning :o

afterwards when I saw my car it was totally covered in dust :o

yeah it sure was a surprise when I woke up :o

to answer your question its where massive amounts of wind blows dust and sand from a desert area (in Australia its the outback) and blows it over other areas causing such things :o
