Well if Amy has her hammer, Shadow and his Guns, Espio and his Shuriken and etc. should Sonic has his own weapon?
I was thinking about something for his gloves for hand to hand combat but what do you think?
It depends.
The sword thing was ok, but I wouldn't want Sonic to have a sword in EVERY game.
NO GUNS, just... no.
Something melee, for sure, since Sonic usually gets close to the enemy to attack. (Like every Sonic game where you have to hit the enemies)
The glove idea sounds good, but doesn't Knuckles already use that idea? :P

id say no hes got very far without one, and amy is just seen as an annoying character, shadow is liked from the emo fanclub and espio isnt mentioned as much...
but isnt it that he uses his speed as a weapon? anything that hits you fast is gonna hurt alot more that something that moves at a very slow pace.
true. but i do like the idea of sonic with a sword...maybe he doesn't use it ALL the time, but he uses it when he wants too...to spice up the fight...

sonic doesnt need a weapon because:
F =force=how much it will hurt
F = m * a = m * v / t
m = mass = 35 kg (look it up, its true)
a = acceleration
a = v / t
t = time = how long a homing attack lasts = guess 0.01 second
v = velocity = da speed of sound! = 340.29 m / s
yay lets calculate
F = 35 * 340.29 / 0.01 = 1191015 N
that is the same as a weight of approx 120000 (121408.25688073394495412844036697) Kilograms falling on you
thats about the same as a complete locomotive plus four carts fully loaded with passengers.
i mean isnt that enough!

I like how you worked it out and all that, but that would mean that he has almost enough force to shatter water.
I think something was lost in calculation.
On Sonic Fighters he could take Amy or Fangs weapon and use it against them. So he has that AND his speed AND his quills AND his taunting. I think he has enough.........
