I think they should, and for THIS reason only, It was literally NOT finished.
And there are two theory's:
1.Microsoft saw that fans were complaining about the
game coming out sometime 2007, Microsoft said they had
to push it back.
2.Microsoft just out right wanted the game to come out
in late 2006 instead of late 2007
Either way, Sonic Team had NO time to finish the game,
and while it seems like all the content was present, it is not,
you may have seen videos of people finishing levels with certain
Amigo characters, and wonder'd why they had they're own poses
AND voice clips for ranking, this is why(You may have read this
before on Sonic-Cult): Tails, Knuckles, Amy Omega, i think
also Blaze, Rouge and even METAL SONIC where going to have
they're own story, obviously more improvements to the game,
bug fixes, ect. and Sonic Team even was going to put Super
Sonic IN levels by using the gems you can get from the store
in the game.
But sadly, Sonic team only had time to finish some levels of
Blazes, Tails, and Omega's, and put in DLC later, Sonic, Shadow,
and Silver where the only storys they could finish, and Super
Sonic's script was finished, and he is playable by modding(most
know of this already along with some of the other info) but
the Gem he was going to be playable by was never finished, and
you can only see the animation of him going Super, but without
further modding you can't play as him.(Most know of this also.)
Point is, Sonic 06 was going to be a great game, as the DLC like, Team
Attack Amigo, levels improve the amigo characters gameplay,
speed, and overall control, and level design is actually GOOD,
and more platformish.
I've never played it so i'm for the idea. ;)
It'd better be on wii though. :D
I would say heck ya remake it.

same time, but microsoft wanted they'res to come out first, i forgot about that.

If Sonic06 is basically a remake of DX then another remake is almost unessesary.

well, If they will do a remake they should:
1. make it for all consoles, and even handhelds
2. change Elise's design because she was f***ing ugly

Sonic Adventure 3.
Imagine, you playing SA2B on your xbox 360 or ps3 (or wii ._.) WITH a friend over the intenet. And imagine having amy chao and tails chao and more on a better system, with acivments (or trophys) I would pay 80$ for this game. I would.. If there going to remake a game. They should remake this one.

Well, yeah. They should remake it. In my opinion, It ruined everything for sonic when they rushed that bloody game! And it's basically Sonic Adventure DX gone Xbox anyway.
Definitely not. While the gameplay had potential, the story was HORRID. If anything, they should just make a new Sonic game with gameplay that's a lot like Sonic Adventure.

I really want sonic 06 to be remade. I even made a topic about it the discussion section of sonic talk. I like having a little bit of QTE's on the bosses and having sonic to do 2 kinds of tornado attacks. Sonic wind (offense) tornado kick (defense) and i like sonic wind to be in the form of chaos spear and once it hits the enemy a tornado will appear. Sonic's death must never happen in the remake. He must sense mephiles' energy and dodge his dark chaos lance (deathbeam) and counterattack. Glitches must be removed, load times must be decreased, gameplay must improve and sonic and shadow must be in their tradtional speed.

How about reducing the loading screens altogether? Like in Unleashed?
And how about a whole new story if you're talking about sonic dodging the lance.
If mephlies had the power to kill sonic, why not just kill Shadow and Silver?
Or just destroy the Super Hedgehogs as Solaris? Solaris controls time and space...

Sonic 06 should be remade. They should name it Sonic Adventure 3 or something. Maybe even put Nazo in it. And the SU sonic model.

No, S3&K was good apparently (never beat it so I wouldn't know). Re-makes are like a reincarnation. It gives a game a second chance at making up for the sins of it's past life and S3&K is in absolutely NO need of being reincarnated. Sonic 06, however, was not given a fair shot at life. It both, was born and died prematurely and therefore deserves a second chance to get it right in a second life.
Kojima updated the original Metal Gear Solid because it was an incredible experience for its time, and it was very well received.
And how many examples of bad games given "new life" can you find? Bad games don't get remade.

Although, in all reason, you should be right. But seeing something like that actually happen is virtually impossible.
06 was a shame. It'd be great to see what the team could have made it had they been given the time.

i say remake it, it had so much potetial, it was gonna have a real time day and night system as well as dynamic weather effects!
also im sure they would've fixed the glitches and made sonic faster.

It was terrible and unfinished, but I don't think they should waste their time. SEGA should make a new game without Silver.
I say yes because they really need to iron out all the glitches

The E3 demo was what sega wanted it to be: good.
But I think Microsoft wanted it to be a launch title or something, so they rushed Sega.
Here are some of my ideas for improvements:
-Make Elise less ugly.
-Make the gameplay more like SA2.
-They planned to have more stories, so maybe finish them?
-Re-map the bounce button. (I wasted tons of lives trying to light-speed dash!)

As far as I know, people already made cartoon porn, featuring Sonic and other characters.
Overall I wouldn't mind a PC port that addresses the loading time and big bug problems. Though I don't see it happening because there would be so many bugs and mechanics to fix that they might as well just keep moving forward and try with new Sonic games that hopefully learn from their past lessons

forget about pc what about the ps4 and xbox one pc shouldnt get everything cause the consoles where first before pc gaming was a thing but still it would be nice to see it on all modern consoles hell even the wii u or if nintendo releases their specs for their new console but i doubt thatll happen on nintendo systems sorry for getting off topic

sonic 2006 is actually being remade by fans which i tried the demo and it wasnt bad but they still had frame rate problems like the original game but i hope they get rid of that but the visuals are so much better than ps3 and 360 but i do hope they give us a better demo where we can play as sonic shadow and silver in boss battles
