Is Sonic 4 a good idea for SEGA?

What do you guys think? Capcom went and made Megaman 9. Would Sonic Team be smart to make a Sonic 4 EXACTLY like the classics for WiiWare and such?
it sounds possible, and could be on the ds as well
if they kept it like the old games, then yes.
btw, theres already a fan game called Sonic 4, but since im sure SEGA doesnt know about it, im betting they would name it that. Also Sonic & Knuckles was kinda like a Sonic 4.

actually, it was the second half of sonic 3
true, but it was also like a Sonic 4 because of the different plot (Death Egg crashes and junk)

If capcom can get away with it, so can sega (lol, imagine marvel vs capcom on the genesis)

Yeah, it could happen. But it would more likely be on WiiWare and not on DS. 1000 points would be a reasonable price.

It would be possible. You can release it on DS. And it could be available on Xbox Live, Playstation Network and wiiware.

I would love that, but it would have to be continued from Sonic 3K.

It really would be a Smart thing to do considering that the series need a revivng light of hope, and the 2d games are the way to go.

I'm not sure that he means as a direct sequel, but I know that he means a return to the Genesis-style Sonic for one game.

That would definitely be a good idea for them to release a Sonic The Hedgehog 4. Not on DS, but rather, Wiiware. They could use graphics from Sonic 3. Set it at 1000 points and I'd buy it.
Sonic Crackers was the rumored "Sonic 4" but ideas were proven false and the game was "somehow" CANCLED!

Yeah. But any game like that would have to show up on DS and probably wii starting at a ridiculous price at like $65.00 :D

Yes. Sonic 4 is supposed to be culmination of everything that the fans want out of a Sonic game. Whether it actually will be or not is yet to be seen, but so far I have high hopes for this game.
I think its a great idea SEGA hasn't made a sequal to sonic 3 in 16 years.
