Sega is going great now, with the coming 3D games and 2D games.
Sonic colors is just getting awesome for the wii, they added the wisps but I think it's a nice extra like the animals from earlyer? (damn I forgot how they were called o.o'') They only adds some more power to sonic now, but this time it's a nice thing to add.
sonic colors DS is also getting better than I though.
Sonic freeriders, probably not the best game coming out this year, but I like it. Me friend isn't really a gamer but likes the things like the wii, eyetoy so I'm sure she'll like this one too. And as a gamer that had to game years alone I just love it to play with a friend, moving or not it's always more fun doesn't matter who wins.
Sonic the Hedgehog 4. Going great, for myself I hoped for another art-style but it's a very nice game I love the gameplay and super sonic is used great. It also gives more hope to very old sonic gamers. But gives a chance to feel the real old but new sonic powers for the new sonic fans.
I think they also better didn't go in riders directly, but I guess they just did do that because more 360 owners will choose for kinect + freeriders. Or something. Anyway I dont really care. Getting in the RPG style that fast is probably not a good idea for now. Maybe end 2011 or begin 2012.

Noo I dont mean chaos they dont have to be replaced I love them :'( I still want the chao returning too. A few weeks ago I found a new friend here that also got sonic adventure 2 battle, and now I'm raising those chao's again :')

I hope so, then I'll pick the one for 360 :P But I just said it's possible. Since a game like sonic adventure would be nice on the 3DS too. And the sonic 3DS was actually nintendo the one that announced it. What if sega didn't want it because annivisary=3DS? :O
Anyway I'll be at the 10% then, I wont be really pissed of since nintendo announced the 3DS one. I would be a bit sad that there are fewer sonic games released than I though.

Sonic and Knuckles came out in my birth year and it's one of my
least favorites...
I'm pretty sure it'll be SC2 but nobody can say that for sure...

There is a Pilotwings game being released on the 3DS, so that's probably it.

On topic: What sega say is true (3d with sonic is great with Sonic from behind-the-back perspective) I just they dont fuck it up like black knight, sonic 06.
I hope sonic not in the line-up means they wont say yet it's going to be released this year. Wich means they're taking the time for a sonic game.
And it probably means it's like sonic colors but not the 2d part, another try for a game like sonic adventure (2) or a new kind of sonic gameplay.
I dont think they'll make it like sonic black knight & secret rings. Because they know many sonic fans wont like that. And if they'll just do it like sonic secret rings is.

Not really. The DS was pretty expensive when it came out, same with the DSL, DSi and DSiXL.
The 3DS has everything the wii has + more except the swinging with the wii-mote part and you can play with an handheld at any place. So I see ennough reasons to make the 3DS the exact price as the wii got in the beginning.
And still I remember sony began with his ps3 around €600 here. That's something overpriced. But 3DS overpriced? NO!
Besides, I've read an interview somewhere, they were busy with the 3D since around 1995! (Luigi mansion on the GC had a working 3D demo) also one game on the gameboy sp advance got a working demo but the resolution wasn't high ennough yet. The GC was okay but nobody would buy a 3D television for that since that technology was too expensive. When the DS came out they actually stopped a bit looking at the 3D part, but when they started again they finally got the 3DS.
"the technology used for it is too expensive" so maybe that part makes it too expensive for you guys?
Anyway, €250 with expensive or not-expensive technology, it's a great price, it's not expensive, also not really cheap but to pay this €250 you really get a lot of fun back for it!
Anyway, I'm planning to buy 3DS + KH:3D + Kid Icarus and when it's released sonic 3DS too. I cant wait! :D

But the Wii is simply not up to snuff for this console generation. It lacks features and capabilities that
should be standard at this point. It isn't HD. You can't play DVDs, even though the thing has a DVD drive. Does that mean its bad? No. Does that mean it could be better? Yes.

You're right. As a gaming machine, you don't

wants. Your average gamer is concerned with two things after "can it play games?" 1) how good are the graphics? and 2) what else can it do?
From a sales standpoint, the Wii has dipped a lot lately. Adding new features would certainly help out. Heck, they should be able to allow DVD playback with a free system update, since softmodding can pull it off easily enough. Or put it on the Shop Channel and sell it.

Your average gamer is concerned with two things after "can it play games?" 1) how good are the graphics? and 2) what else can it do?
From a sales standpoint, the Wii has dipped a lot lately. Adding new features would certainly help out. Heck, they should be able to allow DVD playback with a system update, since softmodding can pull it off easily enough.
They could do that, but I can't see myself ever using the Wii to play DVD's.

I think maybe a Wii+ should be released. Not completely new hardware, but an upgrade. DVD playback. HD video. You wouldn't need an entire new system to do that.

the netflix channel does that nicely.

and some more proscessing power.
i'm happy with the library, but hd would make all the better, and open new oportunities for third parties.

Excuse me for this but..
The 360 and PS3 don't even play most games in HD, it's called upscaling.
Some games, yes. But with new tech coming out, even they can't handle it. They aren't even playing in HD.
And also, 196, I totally agree. Advancements are welcome, and nice. But I bought my console for games, and the games I play on it are wonderful.
