Title: Anime/Video Game Logic Fails?
Post by: jkid101094 on Aug 9, 2010 07:05 PM
I've seen a few other topics like this and things like these are always fun to point out. :3

So...uh...where to begin?

Quote1. How can a mere Pokeball contain the ultimate ruler of the universe?
2. How is "Rest" considered a Psychic type move when "Recover" is a Normal type move? Think about it. "Recover" somehow magically heals oneself, and "Rest" is only sleeping to recover HP. So shouldn't the typing be the other way around?
3. Why does the creator of the universe agree to serve a kid if it's captured in a Pokeball?
4. How is it possible to use "Dig" on water?
5. How is it possible to use "Earthquake" on water?
6. How is it possible to use "Waterfall" or "Surf" indoors or some other place with no water?
7. How can you fight with a Wailord in a tiny room?
8. How do Pokemon with the ability "Intimidate" like Staravia and Staraptor intimidate the likes of Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, or Arceus?
9. Why does any Pokemon that uses "Surf" always look the same when on water?
10. When using the move "Earthquake", shouldn't the move not only damage the enemy, but everywhere within a 5 mile radius as well? How come the TRAINER never gets hurt accidentally?
11. How come sometimes when you can't escape from a wild Pokemon, when you use "Hypnosis" on it and it sleeps, you still can't run away?
12. How is HSOWA possible in the games? In fact, how is it possible with not only Skitty, but Eevee and Seedot?
13. In the anime, how is it possible that Team Rocket is still in good health after being blasted off and falling so many times? How could they still be physically active after being electrocuted by Pikachu so many times? Shouldn't they at the very least, be induced into a coma or physically disabled?
14. When a Pokemon egg hatches, where does the Pokeball that contains the newborn Pokemon come from? Does it magically appear?
15. Speaking of eggs, why does the Daycare not know by now where the Pokemon eggs come from?
16. When you could use "Dive" back in the previous generation games, how is it possible to use Fire attacks?
17. In the Johto League season of the anime, how could Ash hold a Larvitar in his bag when its official Pokedex entry says that it weighs more than 150 pounds?
18. When you beat the Champion, why does he/she stay in his/her position when you became the new Champion?
19. Why do Pokemon that know "Fly" only fly to Pokemon Centers?
20. Likewise, why do Pokemon that know "Teleport" like Abra or Ralts only teleport to Pokemon Centers?

EDIT: "HSOWA" in #15 is an abbreviation for "Hot Skitty On Wailord Action". It means that in the games you can breed a Skitty and a Wailord together despite the massive size difference. This can also be done with Eevee, Seedot, and a few other Pokemon. Now just imagine small Pokemon like them mate with Wailord.

Well, there you go. I've listed 20 things that defy logic in Pokemon (although most of them are from other people). Post here if you can come up with more logic fails.

All the animes and video games where the character "transforms" when before the initial incident, they (in most cases) didn't even know how to throw a punch, then when they "transform" for the first time, they automatically know how to do some kick ass kung fu shit.

Also, where the fuck are these kid's parents in most anime and video games?
Haven't you noticed that alot of the main characters are kids and/or teenagers, usually younger than 18?  And their parents let them DO this shit?
Do they even HAVE parents, cause I never see them.  D<

They also always wear the same clothes.  ALWAYS.

Have you ever noticed that, in video games there's graveyards and all that other shizz, but if someone dies their body is usually left to rot? I'm surprised they even have graveyards...even more surprised  that the heroes can just walk around without nose plugs from all the decaying bodies. ._.

In Just Cause 2, i can jump off a 1000 meter mountain, and not even have a scratch.

Plus games with infinite ammo on the pistols.  Where the hell do they keep getting clips?

I was watching ouran yesterday... it was a group of people, and this thing lasted for two eps...or two days..something like that, and they wore the same thing... .3. it was weird.

Legend of zelda: WTF where the hell does all the money come from D:? it's cool, but why would money just be laying around in the field, or in pots...in someone's house...
And you can just walk in and start breaking things without anyone saying anything .3. i find this one funny though...

No, base-jumping without the parachute.  Smash right into the ground, and you just stand back up.  No cheats or anything.

bottomless pits, are they really bottomless?
and the main heroes have a lot of luck... things being in convenient places, things happening at just the right time, and arriving on the scene just in time to save the day...

Why are the supporting female characters either too bitchy, too innocent or too weird
And why can teenagers who train in a matter of days do more sh*t that takes grown ups who do years of training?
