and apparntly 'Battlefield 3' does not support Direct X 9.0c nor 10.

Everything is stepping up. Which is stupid because i ACTUALLY buyed Adobe Premiere CS5...

3DTV is the new HDTV and whatnot.

2005-07's change was good.

arrr, yeas, I myself am not a big fan of new compatibilly toooo much.

I mean, since Im stuck on XP's and the ocassional Vista, new 7/Vista exclusive updates REALLY vex me.

If they're stepping up, I'm sure there will still be legacy support for the old stuff.
Also, GT.. please quit bumping?

there is nothing wrong with technology moving forward, although i agree that it is kind of annoying. i once installed a 64-bit operating system on my computer (it's 64 bit compatible), but hardly any of my important drivers were compatible with it. i think pretty much one of the biggest reasons why we haven't moved on to 64 bit yet is just the software compatibility issues.

oh, and as for the new movie and photo editing stuff from adobe, they have to move on to 64 bit because their software is meant for professionals who use high end workstation computers, and as their software is getting more and more advanced, they require more ram. and 32 bit systems only support 4 GBs of RAM, which is plenty, but extremely powerful software editing hour long professional productions will need more than 4 gigabytes of RAM.
