The beast's footsteps caused the ground to quake as it approached Talbot. At a local Machine Shop, supplies and weapons fell off the walls, shattering upon contact with the floor. The canals leading to the fountain splashed water all over the streets. In the distance, sirens could be heard, getting louder between each quake. The silhouette in the distance began to become more detailed. A white behemoth approached, it's large shoulders accounting for more than half it's entire mass, jutted out casting an oval shadow upon the city. It's lanky body seemed if it could collapse at any moment under that weight. It's two, tree trunk sized arms supported large hands with razor sharp claws. And it's two cylindrical legs, about the same size as it's arms, sported three, black plates. But, it's two most distinguishing features were it's gaping mouth, which jutted out from it's head sporting razor sharp teeth and mass amounts of drool, and the large, demonic eye that covered it's entire head. As the quakes grew stronger, the sirens grew louder. The monster reached the town. People had already begun to scream and panic. The cyclops began knocking everything out of it's path, cars, buildings, even people, were seen splattering against buildings and pavement. Tanks and helicopters surrounded it. S.W.A.T.s were on their way. The cyclops showed no mercy, it ripped the helicopters out of the sky, crushing them in it's palms. People were shaken out and dropped like candy into it's awaiting mouth. Even with all the noise the mind could still hear the crunching bones, the screams of agony, the final dieing heart beats of the humans lost. The tanks fired, but their efforts were fruitless, the monster stormed on. Over all the commotion, a woman could be heard shouting.
"Aim for the eye, you blind bastards!", commander Rachael Rose stood from a distance, shouting orders to the soldiers. "And where the hell is Nick!? He better not be thinking of something stupid again!" Sure enough, to her dismay, Nick stood on top of the police head quarters, waiting for the right moment to leap upon the cyclops.
I'll try to let all players post before forwarding the story. All players have 24 hours to get in their 50 cents. 72 hours without action (unless you're have to go somewhere or something. Just tell me if you know you'll be gone) will result in your character being killed off somehow. Sound fair?
Jacen leaped out of the way of dangerous things that clattered off the shelves. What the f*ck? This compound is built to be even earthquake proof! Jacen thought. Then he heard the roar. Holy Motherfucking-
Sounds of destruction filled the air. Jacen left the shop as fast as he could. He was just in time to see a helicopter get eaten by a beast. It was taller than any building in the city and took out heavy military copters and tanks with apparent ease. Jacen began to run the other way, drawing his weapon -which he kept strapped to his back- to fend off flying chunks of debris or cut himself a way.
(ooc: Jazzy likey)
Dante watched the destruction take place as he watched from a dark alley that he ran to when the attack begain. "Well this is a nice way to come to town: Get attacked by some gaint monster and run for your life....perfect...." He stood there and watch as the soldiers were toen into pieces and turned into finger food. Dante knew the monster would get father into Talbot and had to get away from it; fighting it would be a most certin death for him. He couldn't risk going out into the open so Dante decides to stay in the alleys to stay out of sight from the monster. "There's no way I'm dieing today, because if I die, someone else dies as well...."
"Damn it! Ran out of paint again." Angelique looked at the empty can in her hand and then back to her canvas; an eggshell-colored exterior wall. Before she could mutter anything else, she found herself flat on her back; the vibrations of the ground knocked her over. She could see the calamity very clearly: a white monster shredding anything in its path. Its size alone was intimidating, but then you have to factor in the razor sharp claws and teeth, and that menacing eye on its head.
"The hell...?" A seemingly increased gravitational pull that was brought on by fear stopped Angelique from moving. She didn't care that people were around; nobody was paying attention to her, so she didn't have any incentive to act like the big tough guy. She felt the push from others around here trying to escape and finally brought herself together enough to run for it.
"Wh-what is that?" Without even looking, the image of the cyclops flashed in her mind and she let out a soft yelp and sped up her pace a little bit. The agonizing screams of the victims rang in her ears, and for once, she'd pray that the police wouldn't be too stupid to take this thing on. Of course, she had to jinx it; she looked up to see a solitary officer on top of a building. What an idiot. But his stupid decisions weren't the priority right now. Getting to safety was...wherever safety could be in this whirlwind of destruction. She couldn't think too properly for the smell of blood and flesh made her stomach churn. The only thing she could think of doing was running.
Quote from: OoC|| Don't judge on my slowness to post. xD ||
Nick crouched down, in preparation to jump, the cyclops would arrive in a few seconds. He scanned the area, people were dieing all around. This one Demonessant had done this much harm in such short time. How could they take down thousands? How could three kids take down thousands? He thought back to the stories he had been taught as a child. "Always aim for the eye." That's what he had gathered about the Demonessance. No matter what form they took, there was always and eye, and that was always the weak spot. He looked at the saw blade in his hand. Not nearly enough to take it down, but it he could just aim it right he might be able to distract it from the military. It was close to his position now, his legs tensed but he blocked out all fear. "This is stupid." He told himself, "You'll never live through it."
The cyclops was a few feet away, still knocking down buildings as it tore threw the city. He leapt with all his might. Down below, Rachael had observed the entire thing.
"You fu**ing idiot..." She couldn't help but lower her head into her palm.
Luckily, Nick managed to cling his fingers on one of the many large scales on the monster's arm. These scales littered the monsters arm almost like feathers, jutting up enough to overlap each other and then some. He struggled up. The blade, which he had stored between his back and his vest, was still there. He grabbed the monsters scales, in fear of falling. It reached it's arm up to grab another chopper, that was his chance. He ran along the monster's arm and flung the blade like a metallic Frisbee disc. It managed to impale the monster, which drew it's arm to his eye. Nick was flung through the air and landed on top of the monster's head. With nothing to keep himself steady as the monster drew back, he rolled on the monster's mountainous shoulders. The monster lowered it's hand from the eye, which was now bleeding a bit where Nick had hit it. It's large pupil focused at the sky. It roared in rage.
"Fire!" Missiles launched at Rachel's command. The monster's eye exploded inside it's head, blood rained down from the sky as it collapsed, defeated. The once pleasant white town was now stained red and black from the beat's destruction. But it was safe once again. Rachael ran over the the beast, through the red river created by it's demise. "Nick!" She shouted.
"I saw you checking me out while I was up there. Looked pretty good, didn't I?" Nick smiled before feeling Rachael's hand across his face. Something that was as familiar to him by now as breathing.
"Have you lost your fucking mind!?"
"I never had one."
"I approve of that statement."
"So, you dig the daredevil type, eh?"
"I don't know where you get your stories."
They went on and on like that, just as they always did when Nick decided to pull a stunt like that. He knew getting her off the subject would eventually calm her down. A civilian ran up the the group.
"Commander Rose! The church! It's on fire!"
"What!?", she gave a gasp in disbelief. Sure enough, the sky was shrouded in smoke. "What kind of sick distraction was that!?"
"Let me guess, Sameal Kane is back from the dead?", Nick just laughed and followed Rachael as she ran to aid those already at the scene.
Jacen was the beast finally go down. When that happened, he was in a predominantly Group 1 neighborhood. Jacen looked at all the posters with disgust. Why do they need something that's not common sense to tell them what's right and what's wrong? Jacen mused. I'll never understand those strange people.
Jacen was attracting a decent amount of attention due to the fact that he was wielding a Keyblade and wore a shirt that said "Atheism FTEW."
Dante stoped dead in his tracks when he heard an explosion. He didn't know what had caused it and he wasn't gonna go back to see what caused it. Just then he caught a wiff of something and coughed and realized what it was. It was smoke. Dante looked up and saw smoke in the sky and followed it to the source. When he got to it, he saw that a church was on fire. "Great, it's just one thing after another in this town." Dante said as he sighed. He didn't know if there was anyone in there still, but part of him didn't really care about the church. Dante just stood there debating with himself as the church continued to burn.
OoC:

Running. Running was the only thing on her mind as Angelique darted ahead. The air shifted, however; the smell of blood was washed away by the smell of a burning building. Looking up, she saw a chapel on fire.
"Well, isn't this ironic." She smiled a little bit and without even realizing it, her smile was twistedly satisfied. She doesn't normally wish harm upon other people, but it kinda made a happy spark inside of her to see this church being burnt. After a moment, she snapped out of her slight daze and looked over the church, trying to see if there was anyone in it, but the dense smoke from the fire blinded her and made her eyes water.
"...hello?" Calling out into the fire, she took a few steps closer.
Inside the church, Rachael could hear someone calling, but she didn't care. Everything she believed in was being turned to ashes. She also called out for any survivors. Through the thick, black smoke. Two glowing red eyes glared back at her.
"W-who's there?" She had no idea what was going on. But, in the creature's hand, she could she a burning copy of Kaitie's diary. "No!" She lunged at the figure which batted her back with what seemed like a large claw. She hit the wall with great force but managed to quickly regain herself. So...this thing wanted a fight? She was going to give it one. She threw punches through the dense mist, never making contact, but she kept on swinging, kept on getting hit. She kept on fighting. She found herself flying out the door into Nick, who fell back with a shocked look on his face. Next to them, stood the girl who had a record with the police. Nick knew her face but didn't bother addressing her with the situation at hand. A black, human like figure stepped out of the flames. When it was fully out of the burning building, it showed no signs of being affected by the smoke. Yet it..."she"...was so human. Her blond hair hung halfway down to her neck and her red eyes glistened in the light. She had two, strange, orange markings on her cheeks that resembled dinosaur tails. Her dark, black and violet gown was in complete contrast with her pale skin. Her left hand was completely normal, but her right...mutated like the claw of a demon, and just as purple as her clothes. She wore black stockings and tall boots. Those didn't seem to be the clothes any woman would fight in, but, would that give her an advantage? Rachael and Nick both stood up. "It was you, wasn't it?" The woman just stared. "Not going to talk eh? Stand back , Nick."
"But, Rach-"
"I said stand back. That's an order."
The woman, looking confused, cocked her head slightly...she almost looked...cute. Rachael attended to her fighting stance and threw the first punch. The woman jumped back as if she had sensed it. Rachael followed up with a combination of kicks which were again, avoided. She was awfully fast for dressing like a hooker. The woman seemed to getting a bit annoyed with this barrage of strikes. Rachael backed her into the now burning church. Police had already arrived at the scene. She ordered them to stand aside as well.
"You're acting as dumb as I am." Nick protested. But Rachael refused to her his words...she finally connected a hit. And another, and another. The impacts echoed. But the woman shrugged them off. Why wasn't she attacking? When Nick noticed her arm darkening, it was already too late. Rachael had let her guard down. The woman suddenly jerk back her claw and grabbed Rachel's incoming hand. The woman brought her knee, swiftly, to Rachael's stomach. Blood splattered everywhere as the demonic claw pieced right through Rachael's chest. The woman yanked it out as Rachael fell dead to the floor. She then proceeded to crush the still beating heart in her demonic hand.
"R-Rachael!" Nick ran over to her side.
"What are you waiting for? Fire!" Shots were heard from every cop in the area. But the woman had retreated back into the church which was still being doused by a hose.
Dante just stood there trying to figure out what the hell just happened. He looked at the curch that the woman walked back into as it continued to burn. "If I knew shit like this was gonna happen in this town I shoulda just skip this place..." Dante proceded to walk off when he stoped in place and thought came to mind. "First the monster, then the church, and also that woman...." It didn't take long to figure out that all three were all connected and figured that that woman was behind all this. "...if she is the casue of all this, then that would mean if she gets taken out, then all this would stop, and whoever stops her... would surely get rewarded for saving the day..." Dante smiled as the thought of an reward passed through his mind. Defeating someone like that would be worth a big reward. He would be set for months, even years. He knew the risk would be great, but this was a chance that he couldn't pass up. He reached into his jacket and pulled out two daggers and made his way into the church.
Fear once again strengthened gravity's hold on her. All she could do was let her mouth hand in total awe and slight confusion. When she regained her senses, she rushed over to the fallen policewoman.
"M-Ms. Rose?" She knew the cop pretty well by now, and usually addressed her in a cocky manner. Now she was sincere and frightened. She glanced at the church and back at Rachael. She could make no noise. Not even a gasp. Sure, she often times wished that those believers would get what was coming to them, but she never meant in a harmful way. Feeling like it was partially her fault, she silently stood and forced a smile, but her face fell again. The incident was tragic, indeed.
"...j-just...who was that...?" She stammered, then noticed a man running into the church. She reached out her hand and shouted "Stop!" at him, but he probably didn't hear her. Whatever. It was his funeral.
Quote from: OoCAssuming Rachael is not married. If so, correct me. :3

By the time anyone (Dante included) had gotten into the church, the woman has long since disappeared into the embers. The town, now nothing more than rubble would take years to rebuild and replace. However, the city had no intention of using their remaining funds for rebuilding. They offered it all as a bounty, just as Dante had predicted.
"Whoever brings us the head of that woman", the new chief of police, Tellius, spoke calmly over series of speakers the following day. "Will receive all of this cities remaining profits in bounty. We shall not allow this sadist to get away with her crimes."
Nick was sent to lead a group of hunters out too find her. Those admitted into the group were not cops, but civilians with a high reputation with weapons. Nick stood at the edge of town, waiting for those on a set list of names. He recognized the name Angelique. She was the town's "rebellious spirit". He had seen her many times. She had been assigned to this mission, as a form of "community service". Another name he recognized, Jacen. He was the weapon store owner, no? Hadn't the Demonessant destroyed his shop? Oh well, it didn't really matter. Nick was just interested in getting a bit of revenge.
"Hey, Nick. Whatcha up to?" A short, blue haired teenager walked up to him. He just ignored her. "Fine, be that way. But I hope you're aware that I've been assigned to this mission as well." The girl was only nineteen. She had little memory of anything prior to two years ago, and, thus. No one knew how she had lost her memory. They called her Ren because it meant water. The one thing she loved most. Water and all aquatic creatures.
"Ptth, you? Well, if you want to die be my guest. This bitch took Rachael out in one shot."
"Hey, I'm tough. And I wouldn't mind kicking her down a notch, either." Ren was a proud member or group 1, and as such she always wore a necklace bearing the symbol of peace, which was imprinted on ever text ever written on the subject. They sat and conversed for hours, waiting for the civilians.
Quote from: OoCSorry for the terrible story and writing, but I've been kinda out of it for awhile. ._.
"All the town's profit...this has got to be a dream or something. This is the chance I've been waiting for all these years." Dante was smiling with joy in his eyes as he made his way to where the other people were goinf to sign up. With that type on money, he would be set for years. He would finally be able to relax and not worry about work or anythin for a good long time. After a while, he got to the area where everyone who was going after that woman was. He looked around to see who was all here and went up to Nick. "So, this is the place where I sign up for the hunt?" Dante said as he streched a litlle.
Groaning, she had all but forgotten the horrifying images from yesterday. "What kind of bullshit is this? Community service?" Angelique played with the pleats on her skirt in dismay. "What did I do to deserve this, Kaitie?" She mockingly replaced the name of God in her cry.
She turned to Nick and started to say something, but even she had a little bit of raising and shut her mouth when the blue haired girl started talking. She also noticed the man from before. Sighing, she went up to him.
"So what's your excuse, buddy?" She had that I'm bored, so I have nothing better to do than talk to the likes of you look on her face, and didn't even try to cover it up.
Quote from: OoCSorry for being a bit late on this one. I don't want to kill Jazz off, but this is the 50 hour mark (correct me if I'm wrong). Also, keep in mind that although I said you have 24 hours to get your 50 cents in, I never said how many times you could do it in that time frame. Something to keep in the back of your mind.
"Sign up?" Nick stared at the unknown man with a look of confusion, he was told to keep civilians not on the list from following along, but what did he care if the died? Wasn't his problem. "Uh, sure. You know what? You look strong, you shouldn't even bother with the list, you can just tag along regardless." He felt a that the more party members they had, the less likely he was to be shot. Ren just rolled her eyes. By now she knew all Nick's tricks. "Anyway, let me explain our mission. We've been assigned to gather whatever information we can about that girl, track her down, and bring back her head. Metaphorically, of course, but the real deal never hurts. Our first destination, is over that way." Nick pointed to a desert on the outskirts of the ruined city. We just cross this thing, then we'll arrive at another city, Lucartya. Unlike this one, it's a major group 2 city. I'd advise all of you in group 3, and especially those of you in group 1, to keep your religion as secret as you can.
"Aren't you going to tell them why?"
"They'll see when they get there." And with that, Nick started off in the deserts direction, Ren following not too far behind.
Quote from: OoCJazz, if you don't plan on playing at least tell me so I can push the story on more. I could have made this post MUCH longer, assuming the others were following me, of course.

What's happening there? Jacen sheathed his weapon and sneaked into the site of the church, trying not to be noticed. Then burnt wood crunched under his foot. Shit...
Angelique overheard the conversation. Being as simple-minded as she was, she turned her attention from the unknown man to Nick.
"Wait, so we can just burn holy books left and right over there? Where do I sign up?" She had a stupidly cheesy grin on her face, which disappeared as she got strange and dirty looks. "Anyway, seriously, though, we gotta cross a fucking desert? Are you kidding me?" She turned around and stuck her nose in the air. "You couldn't PAY me to cross a desert."
With that, she started waving and slowly walking off. "Have fun guys. Tell me how it goes."

Alone in her own dark void she sits breathing heavily. She smears the blood from her fingers onto the cement wall of her cell as she laughs at the pain of her self inflicted cuts and bruises. They can never cover up her emotional pain. The pain of her past. But what is done is done. She could no longer wallow in her own despair. She had to do it. She had to escape. To end all existence. Every human on the planet would feel the pain she felt everyday. The light over her head flickered piercing the darkness around her. The girl sitting there was not a woman, but a monster. Wrapped in a tightly coiled white coat. The mask over her face, more hideous than any human, but more beautiful the the monster it was hiding. The cursed lips in an ever lasting smile. The eyes sealed up, sealing off all light. Her blindness had taught her to use her senses for movement. The mask clinked every time she drove her head into the wall. She needed freedom. She need to kill.
"Come on, guys! Hurry up! Nick was already halfway across the dessert as he called out to his team.
"It's so...hot..." Ren panted as she tried to do as Nick had told her earlier. "Now, Angelique." She said as she pulled out a pair of handcuffs. "You need to understand, you have no choice in this matter, if you are found back in town you'll be thrown into prison in the next group 1 town over so you're better off following us anyway." She put one end on her own arm. "I don't want to make this harder than it already is, but try to understand that this needs to be done, K?"
Nick stopped and called back to the group who had barely moved inches since they departed. "Jacen get there yet?"
"Nope."
"Well, he's just gonna miss out, then."
Ren glared back at him. Had he purposely done that to contradict her? "Come on, Angel. I don't want to do this anymore than you do. Don't you want to see what group II is like?"
"Keh." She frowned. It wasn't necessarily the fact that this woman was threatening her with handcuffs that pissed her off, but the fact that she was addressed by the nickname 'Angel" She HATED that nickname. She glanced at the handcuffs, then the city. Guess she had no choice after all, huh. She just sighed and followed.
"Fine, just don't get those things near me..." she didn't have an angry edge to her voice, but more of a softer. "And please don't call me Angel."
"Easy for you to say soldier guy. >.>" Dante never liked travling on foot. He always managed to hitch a ride to the next town when he needed and when that didn't work, he stoled away in a merchent cart or something in that nature, whatever mode of transpotation was free or the cheapest. "The sooner we get this done, the faster I can leave." Dante said to himself. He wasn't geting any warm feelings from the rest of the group. Nick he didn't know what to think and he seemed to worry about himself more than others, almost like himself in a way. Ren and Angelique he didn't want to get involved with, he want to stay away from religious stuff as much as possable. As for who this Jacen guy that never showed up was, he had no idea and really didn't care much. "...The things I do..." He let out a sigh and continued to follow the others.
Jacen found signs of recent disturbance in the church. Along with a list that his name was on. The paper was about a mission. The list said XX hour, XX day... Which was today. The location was at the other side of the city.
Holy shit! A military assignment! Jacen ran to a bus stop and was lucky to get a bus to the other side of the city when he got there.

"Deal, just as long as you cooperate. Now, we gotta get going. The sooner we get there, the sooner we can relax." Ren started in the direction of Nick, who was now no more than a spec on the horizon.
"You'd figure by now they'd have some stores here or something. This seems more like the dark side of the earth..." Night had already begun to fall, yet, heat beat down on the party. Sweat beading down their foreheads Ren and Nick pushed on. The next city could be seen. This desert was the border line of the earth. The closest thing to the equator. After the core was exposed and divided the earth temperatures under the earth went crazy. Nearest to the equator temperatures rose to such an extreme that all plant life along the line died out creating nothing but a barren wasteland. The temperature in the surrounding areas, however, became colder or stayed the same, allowing for more plant life on the earth's inner edges. As a result, the town ahead, was along the entrance to one of the world's largest forests. Everyone knew it would be cooler there. Nick stood at the town's entrance, sweating, panting and waiting for the others.
"Sheesh it's hot...couldn't we have taken a vehicle or something...?" She oftentimes didn't complain but this was overbearing. With this, she just shut up and trailed behind Ren. There wasn't really anything else she could do. Well, split from the party, but like hell she was going to do so in this heat.

Dante was relvied when he saw the town up ahead. After all that walking he could use a rest. He didn't know what to expect once they enter town. He's been in group 2 places before, but this place was completly new to him, but he wasn't really that worryed. He may be not on either side, but he had more hatetred towards the 1's than the 2's so he would be ok. Dante took a seat near the entrance to rest for a second and get a drink of water from his jug.
Continuing to follow Ren, Angelique opened her mouth to talk but immediately shut it multiple times. This woman seemed to be a no bullshit kind of person, and she'd rather not get caught up with her.
"Hey, I'm pretty sure you got a name..." Angelique tried to make small talk as the city came into view. She saw Nick and Dante, granted, they were dots, but it was a relief that she could see them.
"Hmm? Oh, my name is Ren, nice to meet you." Ren gave Angelique a warm smile which quickly faded when she turned her head around. They traveled across the desert. Nick and Dante came into detailed view, this would be over soon...The sand suddenly began to stir. A sandstorm? Ren though about it for a second. No, it couldn't be...she could hear something in the distance. Flapping. It was that of a large bird...She quickly realized what was going on. She called for Nick. "Get ready, boy! We've got an uninvited guest on our way!" Nick picked up her words and looked to the sky. Sure enough, the large shadowy creature loomed over them. The town gates were shut. They had to protect themselves somehow. The winged creature was now over head, it dropped to the ground, landing on two, bronze, flamingo-like legs. But this was no flamingo. These legs were sturdy enough to support the bird's upper portion. A pulsating heart, about the size of a full grown cattle, for a body, a little bit of blood seeped onto the ground with each thump. It's head was only slightly smaller, about the size of a calf. But this featherless bird had the head of a human infant. Blood dripped from it's crooked neck, and streamed down it's face as well. It raised it's head to caw, exposing it's tongue which contained an man like object hanging down from it's more exposed side...the man was covered in veins. He was made almost entirely of the beast's tongue and sported red and blue veins along with a spongy, pick body. He looked up at the group, smiled and even waved before retreating back to his home within the monster. The Eye of Demonessance came into view on the man's stomach as he recoiled. The monster flapped it's deformed wings. It was hungry, and this pack of travelers was it's prey.
"Yes! Finally some action!" Nick wiped out his gun. I hope you guys can fight!
Quote from: Game Mechanics Note #1When in a battle you may use whatever items are at your disposal. If you are unsure about an action ask me and I'll clarify it for you. All I ask is that you NEVER automatically assume your attack hits. I will decide what does. Your attacks won't always hit, but they'll rarely miss. Especially when fighting larger enemies. Be aware, you must obey this rule as well. It's no fun if you never get hurt.
Jacen shifted his pack. He was travelling across the desert. Suddenly, he saw what looked like a sandstorm ahead. Oddly, it started to die down shortly after it began. That's odd... The sandstorm was too... Holy **** **** on a **** sandwich. Jacen dug out his water pack and took a drink. He also grabbed a bite to eat. That looks like a monster... and with what happened a couple of days ago, it may be another.
Jacen drew his keyblade and started towards the monster.
Quote from: OoCBoth GD and Draco have surpassed the 24 hour mark. Isn't it sad when I have to remind them to come here? Then they tell me they like my stories, ptth, bullshit. :P
Sorry, Jazz, been out of it all day. Sleeping, mostly. x3
The beast gave another mighty, "caw" exposing it's mutated tongue. There was no where to run, the battle field was nothing but sand and gravel. The beast flapped it's wings and rose once again into the sky, it's sight focused on Jacen, it swept downwards with it's long talons.
Quote from: OoCRemind? No. I know you have those days when you don't feel like getting on...and I'm sure its valid if I don't get on after being sick all day (I'm sure turning my insides out for hours on end counts as a valid ill feeling, right? :3. Trust me, I remembered, but I just felt too bad to get on.
Jacen dived into the sand. I need cover. There's not telling what this one can do. I gotta get to that city!

Quote from: OoCSeriously? O.o
I find it hilarious how every time I go to sleep early, neither one of you come on...I love my luck. 8D
"Oh great...I shoulda have walked in the town before they shut the gates on us..." Dante just couldn't belive his luck. He took a quick look at....whatever that ulgly thing was for a sec. He reached in his jacket and pulled out some throwing knifes. He spreaded them out like a deck of cards and threw them at the monster in a blink of an eye.
Angelique looked at the monster and rolled her eyes. After the events from before, she felt like nothing could scare her anymore. But her trembling body told a different story.
"Great. I'm not getting turned into bird nip..." She followed the others' actions and withdrew her own weapons, two small guns that were concealed by her skirt, which she kept in holsters around her thighs ontop of her jeans. One was a Beretta Pistol, while the other was a Taurus Revolver. She liked diversity...among anything with a trigger, at least. She wasn't very skilled in anything, but she could aim a gun with deadly accuracy, thanks to the hunting she did growing up. Her shaking hands, however, caused her difficulty while aiming at the monster.
"J-Just...right here..." She aimed and shot with the pistol, then closed her eyes, praying that she would hit the monstrosity.
Knifes and bullets both flying through the air, the monster was struck in it's lower body. Blood sprayed from the massive heart as the weapons hit. The beast turned it's attention from Jacen to it's attackers and, with a might caw exposing it's tongue once again, it flapped it's wings creating a sandstorm, blinding the four that stood to oppose it. With it's mouth still open, it dove with it's talons to capture any prey it could sink it's claws into.
Jacen put hid modified Keyblade to work. He opened up the rocket slot (1 ammo) and rocket-jumped up. He stabbed the monster with his keyblade and held on for dear life.
Blinded by the sand, Angelique quickly put away her weapons to free her hands so she could shield her eyes. Hearing the caw, she knew that the monster was going for the offensive. Her only sense of the outside of the world at the moment was her auditory senses. If she could hear where the bird...thing...was, maybe she could fight blindly. The only thing was...she was very clumsy. It was pure suicide to do what she was thinking.
Continuing to shield her eyes from the coarse sand, she stood still and focused her attention to her hearing.
Quote from: OoCSorry for being a bit slow on the updates. To be honest I actually forgot this existed. ^^;
The monster spun in the air as Jacen impaled it with his blade. It crashed to the ground, and began thrashing around. The exposed tongue seemed to glare at the party with it's demonessant eye.
"Shoot the eye for Kaitie's sake!" Nick just shook his head. Hadn't he explained this before? He pointed his gun to the eye and fired. The monster, hit again, found it's way to it's feet and flew up high again. The Eye of Demonessance seemed to glow as the wound healed up perfectly, trapping Jacen's blade within the bird's pulsing abdomen. Another caw of rage. The bird retracted it's tongue. Suddenly, it began to choke. A large lump appeared in it's neck which it pushed out through it's mouth. Two giant eggs fell out, which then began to crack.

Yeah, this is dead...*massive disappointment*
(ooc: I've been lazy)
Jacen hit the ground. Hard. Despite the fact it was sand, Jacen fell a long way. ...What am I going to do without my blade? Jacen thought. He slowly tried to get up, intense pain pulsing through him. I gotta do it.. Jacen had modified some of the spikes on his keyblade to be detachable and explosive. Those explosives were not activated by his hilt, but by a separate switch. And that switch was in his backpack. I jest need to survie long enough...
(ooc: If you think about it, someone traveling through town with a large weapon is sure to attract attention. By having detachable explosives and a separate detonator, you can plant the explosives, go somewhere and then blow them up)
