If you ask me, age is but a number. I would've seen the posting history and seen what the member had posted in the past, then determine whether or not he or she should be allowed to stay. Just because you're young doesn't make you stupid or deserving of a ban. So here's a question, what happens when you DO get old enough? Will they suddenly unban you and welcome you with open arms? Pfft, what a joke.

As much as I agree, when you're running a business you must focus on the majority and not hang onto the hope of "the few good that are there"
If there is anything I've learned from dealing with my schoolmates, its that it IS better to cast out the group and let the few group suffer, than to turn the place to chaos just so a few can feel rewarded

There's a LAW now stating that if a forum chooses to admit members of the ages 13 or under that they can't share personal info. Instead of dealing with having to get kids to amend their profiles, some hosts (zetaboards, for one) even have an option to ban and prohibit all members under 13.
