1024x600. Not even quite HD Ready my friend. The rest is upscaled, and it looks terrible.

I dunno what games thou are playing- but alteast normal games run at 720p.
That's definitely one thing I'm not getting this year...
I want a 3DS, but I'll wait for the better games to come out. Maybe the price will dip a bit by then, too.

I mean Paper Mario, Kid Icarus, or Zelda. Maybe Star Fox and Animal Crossing. So far, the launch line-up isn't so hot.

You heard correct. Recent games like, for example black ops have such poorly developed overintensive graphics engine that the games are run in a lower resolution in order to be playable.
Remember, the 360 was released in '06, which means the tech in it is probably dated as far back as '04.
Ahem, anyway.
I'm looking forward to playing Lylat Wars again. That game never gets old.

Crysis 2. Better example?
Sonic Unleashed, Grand theft auto, Killzone 2, Recent Guitar Hero games. More, more, more. They're all upscaled my friend. These 7th generation consoles aren't performing as advertised.
You can tell when a game is in true HD. Especially if you're a PC user like me.
