Okay, if you're reading this, then you've most likely noticed that the main site is gone.
I am going to explain this.
John Said that he didn't like the main page anymore, because without the ROMs, it looked empty to him, so he decided to take the main site down.
It's basically like TheBetaFox took a part of John with him when he took the ROMs.
John said he may be re-uploading the Music to the VIP section at a later date.
If you know the URLs to the separate pages, they might work, because I remember John linking to them in the chat.
For now, you can get your music and ROMs just by doing a Google search.
The Sonic Theater, as far as I know may be uploaded to the VIP section along with the music later in the upcoming weeks.
I am working to find out more about TBF through means of, well, take a guess. I have found some information about him, it will not be available to the public for reason related to 'i'm afraid he might slap a lawsuit on my ass or something"
In all regards, Sonic ROMs will be missed.

As much as I'd love to get a chainsaw and saw off his body parts, I'll have to control it and say no. He had the reason, and the balls, to report this to SEGA. But he should be really fucking concidetate of other people. That's what makes me wanna kill him..

We all had the right to report this site. But we never did..maybe I'm being an idiot cause it's 2 am, but the way it was worded sounded like "right" was "forced to tell"

Sadly, even though morals says otherwise, I will have to side with John on this one.
He DID put much time, effort, and $$$ into creating a site for us Sonic Fans.
And then its like it went POOF overnight.

And to John: Believe me I feel your rage, I'd be mad too if some1 turned on me like that. Its like we had a Traitor in our own Community who only thought of himself and not the impact on other people... By the way John, does this mean USTREAM will be perm down too? :(

Personally I highly doubt it, the Stream is on the forum as well too...not just Sonic Zone's main site.
I never said I didn't care. But I'm saying that I think we should just let it go. You know we'll always remember SonicROMs. I don't like what TheBetaFox did one bit, and I snapped at him personally for it. But at the same time, I know that what he did wasn't wrong, and saying it was inconsiderate well... he was being more considerate about the people who actually make money from the things you were hosting. And I think he also considered the fact you could donate for ViP essentially a "Double-piracy". Look, I download from ViP, heck, I've uploaded, so maybe I shouldn't be talking about whther it's wrong or right. I'm not saying I would have done it in any way myself. I'm saying that we shouldn't rage over it. it's over. I don't want things to collapse even further, we already lost the main site, and well, we can't just give up, and complain about what has happened. I appreciate the work you've gone through, I wouldn't have met so many amazing people including yourself if it weren't for you. I have come across wrongly in this situation and I apologize.
About the stream well, I'm fairly sure John loves playing, and more people have been watching so..
I really do hope nothing else happens, otherwise I will snap, and shit will get real.
I've gotta agree a bit with Tana on this one. Yes, I pirate games, but I know it's wrong. While I'm not too fond of what TBF did but I do have to give him credit. He did what he thought was right to help SEGA. Not too many people stand up for what's right anymore.
But don't let that convince you I'm not sad about this, because I am. I never used the main site but I know how important it was to John. All the years we spent building up a reputation just to have him knock it all down? Just like that? We'll get over it, Tana, but I doubt it'll be soon.
I still think the main site could have stayed, though, John. We could have had a poll or something to give it a new use...taking it down...it's just sad. :\
Yeah, I'm with Tana too and jkid on some parts, like he said that the main site could be put to good use. Not gonna force it on you john, but like Jkid said, Why not just hold a poll to see what we can do with the main site, that way everybody participates, and it can be something that we all made. Don't let TBF take us down. We are united, and nothing can change that. as long as we are together on the we can make it through this. this is what TBF wants, and we are giving it to him. We CANNOT let that happen. Its tough, i know but we can't crumble under pressure otherwise this site and all of it's hard work will go down the drain, and we will end up like any other sonic site on the internet, lost and forgotten. Don't give up yet bacause this site has a few good years left in it, and i don't want to see this site go to waste.
