Anyone who's played Brawl before (and maybe some that haven't) can point out how ridamnediculous these rules are. @_@
The only fun way to play SSB is without rules.

Well as a competitive Brawler myself I can't say it's the
only way, but it's one of the better options. :P

Mainly. Not the only way, but that's the most fun way.
Playing with ANY restrictions is utterly boring. Except Smash balls. Just kill them entirely, please.

I don't like smash balls because I suck at getting them.
Then rage when I don't and someone else does. xD
Oh man, why even play Smash Bros.? The whole point of Smash Bros. is that is crazy random fun. Not a balanced controlled fighter. If they want that they could play any other fighting game. That Smash Ball rule is ridiculous. And you have to use the same character every time? ...why? Why would anyone want to do that?

I would prefer to keep chain grabs out of my competitive play. Also, items can lag online terribly and when the lag is already bad. They can also get in the way when you're playing competitively and the match could come down to the person who can grab the most items as opposed to the person with the most skill.

This. Except I abuse the fuck out of R.O.B., but I do find it nice to switch to Jiggs or Kirby every once and awhile.

That's just foul play. :l
Also, while we're on the subject of foul play Meta Knight needs to die in a fire...Like, seriously.
you shouldnt need rules in a video game

Uh... I wouldn't say that. I mean, if you want to load up a GameShark (that's still a thing, right? that's the one I always used back in the day) while you're playing by yourself that's fine, but Pikachu shouldn't be able to fly in multiplayer.

Nope. The cool kids use Action Replay and Homebrew now. Get with the times. :P

Isn't spamming like this possible in like every fighting game though? *coughstreetfightercough*
I once got 6 kills with sonic's final smash.
It's not specific characters, It's the players fault. When they're ready to have a fair fight then those characters seem more balanced.
My brother and I can have loads of fun battling each other with "spammy" characters, we just agree to stop the cheap kills.

I still have a gameshark :(
"you must be well groomed" well I am out already :3 Much to my schools dismay, I don't sit for ages getting my hair to look neat and perfect. Pfft effort
the smash ball rule... WTF? I mean, why not just get the smash ball and not use it since no one is allowed to hit you x3
Seems more like they are a very exclusive club because very few people think highly enough of these rules to join >.>

I usually play without items :L or at least with no smash ball and fans which disadvantages me more considering I main low tier characters unlike all the ikes who press one button and things die : D (which is pretty fun I will give them that)
But seriously all these rules @.@ It is a brawl which means anything goes

I knew of this already. Doesn't keep people from using him in friendlies, though.
If you dont like the fucking item, grab it and throw it off the fucking stage.
Are people really that fucking stupid? Thats what I do. Fuck my friend with his fans.
Where... in the FUCK, is this shit being held? Cause i want to seriously raise some hell over the ridiculous amount of rules, bans, and etc. placed with this "Brawl Club." A complete mockery of tournament rules. "Must pause and play rock-paper-scissors." Seriously? Complete and utter nonsense. With that said, it can't be an online club.So where in Illinois is this so i may destroy it?

I didn't get this in an E-mail. A friend found it on Game FAQs.

Being competetive is fine and dandy, but why are those who admit they play it for fun frowned upon?
"Hey guys, let's have a free for all with items on =D"
"GTFO >=U"
