Quote from: SS196"TRAUMA tells a story of a young woman who survives a car accident. Recovering at the hospital, she has dreams that shed light on different aspects of her identity - such as the way she deals with the loss of her parents. TRAUMA lets you experience those dreams in an interactive way, reminiscent of Point-and-Click Adventure Games. It builds upon this established formula by introducing a gesture-based interface, real-time 3D technology for dynamic level layouts, unique photographic visuals and a level design philosophy that focuses on creating a rich experience rather than an elaborate puzzle challenge. Combined with the unconventional story, it is aimed to be a compact and deep game for a literate and mature audience."
Quote from: Realm of Erebos"This world and all the people on it...are not what they seem...I've traveled to every inch of this world and seen a lot of things...but nothing ever shocked me as much as "The Wall"...I stumbled onto The Wall one day moving between continents...it was there I discovered the memories...It was there I saw it all...the car crash, the paramedics, the child being carried off on the stretcher...Our world...doesn't exist..."
"A boy was driving with his mother. Another car cut them off. Both vehicles swerved to avoid the crash and failed. One of the passengers in the car was killed...the others? All hospitalized. The child went into a coma and it was there our world was created. I am the embodiment of his nightmares. Aria is the embodiment of his dreams. Seth and Melody are his good will. The rest of you, are his memories and ideas. And this world...is nothing but his sub-conscious...It's all true...every last word...and when he either dies or wakes up our world will be erased from existence...Everything as we know it will be wiped from existance and become nothing more than a memory..."
"Even if he did live and fall back to sleep, dreams never really stay the same..."
"Yes, but memories can be altered...that's what I've been trying to do."
"To change the memories is to change our destiney...and my destiney does not involve me dieing so easily..."
"You will witness first hand, the altered destiney...This world ends here and a new one shall form under the law and order of Erebos!"

The Boy:
Even with the craptastic dialog I gave him two years ago Erebos still explains the concept better than I ever could. I still consider that one of the best things I've ever written and I don't care what trolls think. You'd think it'd be all over there, that the kid would wake up or die and we'd have a Mario 2 style ending but no. The story continues way beyond that as the dream is reborn and villains try using The Wall to change the course of it. You can think of The Wall as sort of a control center. Only those who have the proper knowledge of the brain's coding can alter the dreams and ideas of the boy (and later on Diana). It doesn't make much sense when you think of it from the "every character represents something" point of view but regardless I still try to base the story around it. The saddest part about it though is that the story can only go on as long as a child is in a coma or similar state.
Diana:
In the end of the first game (or 4th dream if we go by the RP Cannon) the true main villain (Seth's former commander or an unknown person in the RP cannon) abuses The Wall to turn the boy into a sleepwalking killing machine. While Seth, Crys and the boss battle it out in the boy's head the boy (now an adult) is sent on a killing spree in which he shoots and kills several people in a gas station. Seth and Crys lose the fight and die but before the villain can change the dream further the boy is gunned down and the dream is erased from existence. However (taking small inspiration from Assasin's Creed) memories are passed down through genetics. The memories of the previous dream are therefore carried over to his daughter Diana. One day her school is the victim of a shooting, where she is struck by a bullet while attempting to flee. She barely survives the shot and is (of course) put into a coma where the dreams combine and the entire world changes. This ques the second game or the current dream (if we go by the RP).
They say great minds think alike, but I just wish people would stop thinking along the lines of jkid. >:U
I know it isn't exactly identical, but on top of being compared to Eternal Sonata RoE is now always going to be called, "That Trama ripoff". D<
Don't make a fuss about it, TRAUMA is so unknown it's sad...

I dunno what you're sad about but this isn't the first time this has happened. >:U
You should really get your ideas out there quicker.
Anyway, the easy fix is to work on it a bit more, and make your idea come out on top. I'm sure that people who like this have more of a reason to try out yours.

I'm afraid of people ripping me off that way too. I was skeptical about posting this. :U
I do that everyday. I was so into this being so original. >:I
Originality doesn't mean success.

Never said it did, but it's a plus.

Sometime after I get my degree and/or become a single developer. I want a team but not until the RoE cannon is established so no one can try changing it.

Late to the party.
But only your worst nightmare.
That fucktard just won't stay dead. -slapped-
Even though that's totally irrelevant from the actual RoE. 8D
