Those of you out there like me who have been around long enough may remember Sonic being featured in the
annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Back in 1993, Sonic was the first-ever video game character to be
part of the parade, and 2011 will be the blue hedgehog's 2nd appearance, to celebrate his monumental
20th anniversary. The Sonic balloons were tested this weekend in New Jersey and are looking good great. The photos above were taken by the SEGA Director of Marketing in New Jersey. See Sonic in the parade on Thanksgiving Day - Thursday, November 24 from 9AM - Noon (All USA Time Zones)

I swear if this is another rick-roll...
What? How? Why? When? Where?...
Mustseerightnow, I cant wait.
Why does Modern Sonic have black eyes?
Now I've gotta watch the parade... Heh, those commentators won't know the first thing about Sonic.
I like the design, reminds me a bit of his design in Adventure.

Actually, they might. Sonic's not really obscure or anything.
Besides, there are way more obscure things in this parade. Like these guys.

They're green. The lighting makes them look black.

True... Although they always do the family friendly thing, where they dumb down the descriptions of everything not family friendly.
That said, Sonic's not exactly the badass he used to be, no longer targeted at teens, he's moved on to 11 year olds...
I guess anything they say would be fairly accurate nowadays, but that balloon is strangely reminiscent of the Dreamcast era...
Still, I really
DO NOT want to hear Cash Cash singing about their acid trip in space for the background music,
if they played Open Your Heart or Live and Learn, I could die happy.
