So last night my 3DS got a mysterious update, not knowing what it was I assumed it was a firmware update of bug fixes or the like.
Today I found that there's a new freebie in the eShop called swapnote, it's essentially pictochat mixed with e-mail, it allows you to send scribbles, drawings, sound bytes, and pictures to people on your friends list.
Upon attempting to draw anything, I got an awful wrist cramp, either swapnote is a carpal tunnel generator, or I've been typing too much today. Either way, the drawing area is small, and could've been pulled off with a toggle menu and a full screen canvas.
Still, it's a free app that finally lets you message each other with the 3DS, and it has fun challenges, such as
"please don't send anything copyrighted" and "please don't make other users feel uncomfortable"
The 3DS just keeps looking better.
