Title: Windows versus Mac
Post by: Darkamyrose0x0 on December 27, 2011, 10:40:59 AM
What do you think is better?

Since I got my Macbook Pro for school and I also got my Alienware M18x for personal uses (mostly for gaming on Battlefield 3), what do YOU think is a better laptop?

After all, I only need one...

Oh, and you can get two Windows 7 laptops for the price of a Macbook.
Don't forget that.

I'm not a fan of Bill Gates and Microsoft can burn in Hell but despite his hatred of the company of the gaming front jkid can always count on Windows for his PC needs.

Windows is the ideal platform for programming, gaming and compatibility. Mac OS is the ideal platform for speed, reliablility and everyday use.

I don't count one as better than the other, I do however say Linux is 10x better than them both. :3

Yeah, two crappy ones that will break after a year and slow down within the first month.
And you know.. be slow in the first place.
Don't be dissin' the apples.

Honestly.. if you want a notebook, get a Mac. If you want a good PC in general, build a desktop and put Windows 7 on it.
To answer the question that was asked, Apple make much better notebooks.

If you're a gamer, I don't know why the FUCK you chose to get a notebook.

Price was not part of the question.

No.
Not true at all.
Mum bought a Win 7 laptop last year... It still works fine.
But I like XP more that 7... I can't get used to 7's file browser, or its WMP. Srsly.

Yes, very true. Buying a Notebook at half the price of another is like buying a notebook that is half as good. Apple don't charge any extra, in fact since you can order direct from apple it's quite often less. The extra you're paying for? Probably solid-state technology and extra software.

Your argument is bullshit.

I chose it because I don't prefer to use desktops. A laptop can fit on my bed so I can lay down while I use it and I can keep my screen hidden so no one can look. It's not like I do anything wrong, I'm just big on privacy.
