In order to install ISOs, you need to mount them. This is what I use: http://www.magiciso.com/tutorials/miso-magicdisc-overview.htm
Just right click on the icon in your start bar once it's installed, click mount, choose a drive, mount the ISO, and wait for it to install.
then you can proceed to add the extensions.
And I can remove the mount like it was never there in the first place?

Mhmm. An ISO mount fools your PC into thinking there's a physical disc in the drive.
