Uh... okay. The Ghosts were overpowered. I don't really see where its going though. Otherwise, its alright I guess. Not much to go on.

I can see this is your first game. Take that as you will I have some pro-tips for you:

That path at the beginning...Wayyyy too long. you should consider making it shorter, or at least adding objects to keep the player entertained while he moves through it. The experience seems to last longer if you don't even know you're even going anywhere.

Trying to go back reactivates the cut-scene. The one at the top that sends you back is fine. It isn't supposed to disappear. What is is the conversation between Kay and I. Usually to make an event not activate again you would use a Self-Switch. However, since you need to "de-activate" multiple objects I suggest using variables like so.

Pay attention to everything I've edited. What I've done is I added a new, blank tab. Once you hit the cutscene object the sequence of text activates. At the end it switches the variable "lolvariable" to 1. Since that variable is now set to 1 next time you hit once of those objects nothing will happen because there is no script for the object to run "if lolvariable = 1".

Also, like TGN said. Basic enemies that appear so often should not be so hard to KO. >.<

These tools are what beginners like myself use to create custom sprites for RPGVX. You should give it a try. I doubt she cares so here are very old sprites of Kay she made for a project of mine back in the day:

You could add a puzzle of some sort before reaching you.

You have to move them down 75 tiles to get it right. These settings should work. I know you probably want to do this yourself so if I'm being too pushy with helping just say so. =P

While we're on the subject, though. I believe the text commands "\." and "\|" can be used for pauses in your text. You can use them to make sure the cutscene extends the full length of the walk.

I was gonna do this... I even had some handmade sprites made. I don't think I still have it though...
It involved getting some concert tickets from zombies living in jkids house, and there were pirates involved some how. Anyways, It's a good start for your first game, it could use more of a plot, even if it's completely ridiculous. And all our members need custom sprites and some sort of role. :P

I'd help you with sprites but I won't be home for another 38 hours. :P

That sounds...odd... xD

I was going to do something like this a long while back about viruses invading the forum and us switching our avis to gain different powers as we tried to ban the accounts spreading the viruses...but that never went into works. =P

Also there was that date-sim. But despite being called the Sonic ZONE Date Sim it had NOTHING to do with this site. xD

Since RPGMVX is all the rage right now I'm thinking of uploading the most complete and unique of these to the forum...Not sure you guys would play them though as the longest one is maybe 10 minutes while most only last about 2. xD

You're learning MMF2.
You can code in RPGMVX too. Besides. I'm more familiar with it. I don't really like MMF2.

I like making RPGs. And RPG Maker can do pretty much anything on with a top down view if you put your mind to it.

If you guys could learn MMF2, we could do monthly code-offs where everyone would make a game over a weekend and submit it on monday. I dunno about you, but that sounds like TONS of fun to me. :p

I'd like our source codes to be the same format. VX's source code is more of a compilation than a source code, and MMF2 and GM use different formats.

You need the RPG VX Run Time Package. I don't think Nazo included it in the download.
