Title: Alienware M17x?
Post by: JJSonicShadow on April 17, 2012, 11:02:05 PM
Hi, I know i said a few places about getting a M14x, until I realized how AMAZING The m17x is, I chose
AMD Raedon HD 6870m
8 gig of ram
2.2 processor
thats the main things
is it good? But I'm gonna get it around christmas, but if the M17x R4 comes out, it will be SUPA expensive. Should I go for it?
The price of the current r3 is around 1800 USD
the price i think of the r4 is around 2200 USD (Nvidia Geforce GTX 665m)

Personally have a m14x, good portable gaming laptop, and the specs are good ennough for me (I only may upgrade the ram, just have 4GB ram now.)
However if you're a very heavy gamer,m17x is better indeed. If you realize that it may be more annoying to take around with you. (Wich is why I took m14x. I heard the most m17x owners pretty much simply use it at a desktop computer only. And when it comes to that I personally would build or buy a normal desktop PC with the same or better specs as that will be cheaper. )

M17x R4, hands down.

If it comes with a Keplar-Card (665m) - then its worth every little penny.

Hey Hedgy are you the same Hedgy on the Sega or Nvidia forums saying about Optimus Fix? Thats my main reason, but I don't want a desktop because I need portabilty. Thanks for the opinion ;)
