you could torrent it or wait for VIP downloads to come back
but if you really like the game or anything sonic related you should buy it because SEGA has money problems

I doubt Sega is still making money off of an 8 year old game. You can only buy the game used anyway.

I'd just get the physical copy - you have the actual box and the user manual. Torrents and searching may not be worth your time, but I'd stick around on the site to see if the ViP content comes back.
