You know...
...that actually looks fucking cool.
I must admit, i did not really like MW3, MW2 & WaW that much... but this looks really cool.
Did I just watch cowboys fighting robots?
I must admit, the name Black Ops 2 doesn't exactly bring to mind anything new or original, but that actually looks really cool.
Almost like Binary Domain... While military versus robots is nothing new, it's not really ground that's been covered hundreds of times. I'm glad to see treyarch doing something new, and I'm genuinely interested in a CoD game.
Treyarch made a CoD game about the future before Infinity Ward did?

Infinity Ward is probably rehashing MW4 right now....
probably in shock that a secondary company brings all the new things on the table on their franchise.
Treyarch is also bringing Tony Hawk Pro Skater HD later this year... while IW was sitting CoD since... well... ever.
-------
EDIT: Them people complaining about CoD changing - before they complained about it not changing.
It seems like, people only care about cool graphics, completely ignoring that they're getting a completely new package here. :l
There will be multiple endings and versions of the story, depending on your choices (which is written by the guy who wrote the Nolan-Batman-Trilogy) there will be a hub-world, there will be DX11 Graphics (on PC). There will be a updated version of the zombie mode.
And apparantly only 3/4 of the game takes part in the future - there will be missions in the past & present as well.

This scene actually looks really cool...
I'm going to complain about something, the one of the two cool things about Black Ops I liked was that it was set in the Cold War.
Like, there aren't that many FPS games set there...But that's probably because it doesn't really have much Conventional Warfare in it...
But yeah, I don't like the future stuff...Like, I'd rather have a Call Of Duty in the past than the present and the future should never be explored in CoD...
But I do appreciate that they're bringing something new to the table...But really, the future just...Doesn't fit CoD.
Y'know why? 'Cause the whole meaning behind CoD was to not resort to "Action Heroism."
That's why What'sHisFaceAndWhat'sHisFace left EA or whatever to work on CoD in the first place...They didn't like the way that Medal Of Honor made the main character seem like some kind of a super human...And yes, I'm already aware that there hasn't been a single CoD game with a character that's not "SuperHuman" since CoD3.
But even though I'm complaining, I'll probably end up getting the game anyway.
Y'know why? It's Treyarch. Y'know what Treyarch has? Zombies. Y'know what Jeexx likes? Killing zombies.
So, even though I'm complaining about the future stuff, 'cause it's going to be related to the campaign (Which has a high chance of sucking...), but Zombies in the future? HellToTheYeah. Zombies was pretty much the most futuristic part about BO and by far the most enjoyable, so I can't wait to see how they handle it this time...
But that's enough of blabbering.
Even though I'm complaining, I'm getting the game for that one little SubGame Treyarch programmed onto WaW a couple of weeks before release. Smart, dontya think?

It's just as i said. Playing Treyarch's 360 and PS3 version do not click to me the same way their Wii version does. I have no true explanation but i feel as though the gameplay on the Wii just shines over the over consoles. Infinity Ward games seem much more enjoyable to me on HD consoles and their Wii versions suck.

CoD has to run at 60fps - thats why the graphics arent as advanced as, lets say.. battlefield 3.
But there should be better lightning & reflections on consoles this time around.
they're also using a new way to texture things, similar to what the unreal engine (i think) does with overlaying textures.
so yes, there will be an overall graphical improvement - not alot, but noticeable. You'll know you'll play a new CoD - not like with MW3.
On PC on the other hand the improvements will be more noticeable this time around generally in every way.
people are bitching that they want something new to cod. now they're bitching about this being too futuristic.
Earlier today, Amazon UK told MCV that Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 pre-orders were three times higher than its predecessor, Black Ops, two years ago. Now, thats just for England. Joystiq went asking Amazon USA, if the pre-orders are also that high overseas.
Amazon US replied with;
"Pre-orders from day one of Black Ops 2 were more than ten times the amount of pre-orders for the first Black Ops on its first day of availability," Amazon US told Joystiq this afternoon.
Now, dont forget there is also all the other gaming retailers...
Black Ops 2 thus is on its way to be the most pre-ordered game in existence.

It seems Treyarch and David S. Goyer are working on creating a memorable villain this time around.
One that can compete with David S. Goyer's Joker from 'The Dark Knight'
He wont just want to take over the world, he will have proper reason.
And you will get to know those in the mission that take place in the past.
That is pretty ambitious - a villain as good as goyer's joker.
Goyer is currently also writing the story for the Superman & Godzilla Reboots - he was also responsible for the story in the new batman movies.

Ambitious, yes..
..But ridiculous. There's no way their choice system is going to work, and given that it does, it will be a very far cry from CoD.. whatever meaning is left in that name anyway. Betcha it'll be fun this time around though. given now they have a plausable setting for their "Over the top" style gameplay and unrealistic, superhuman mechanics.
I won't bother explaining myself.. but on a semi-related note, but I'll also leave this here, because I think it's interesting.

Treyarch recently announced their next venture into the "Call of Duty" franchise. "Black Ops 2" is slated for a November 2012 release, and fans are gearing up for the shooter. However, Activision could be facing some legal troubles over the new game's setting.
According to Game Informer, there is a lawsuit between Infinity Ward and Activision, that states that "Call of Duty" titles set after Vietnam would be exclusive to Infinity Ward. The video game magazine obtained court documents that include a clause printed in Infinity Ward's Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The clause reads as follows:
"Activision will retain authority and responsibility over all titles within the 'Call of Duty' franchise (specifically excluding any 'Call of Duty' title set in modern day (post Vietnam). the near future or distant future, which shall be under the authority of IW consistent with and subject to Sections 2(a) and (b)). including all creative, development and publishing decisions; provided that IW will be entitled to receive a residual IP bonus and a technology bonus from products published under the 'Call of Duty' brand as outlined in Section 3(d)."
"Call of Duty: Black Ops 2" will be set in the year 2025, which falls under the "distant future" category included in the clause. Game Informer notes that the two companies have previously had a "stressful" relationship, and that Treyarch may be feeling too confined under the restrictions set in place. There are several indications of this, such as the inclusion of guns that weren't designed or made available until the late 1980s or 1990s in the original "Black Ops," prompting Infinity Ward to complain.
Pulling Black Ops II from the shelves is likely, but Activison paying damage to IW is also a possible remedy.
The trial has yet to occur.
There is also a lawsuit that Infinity Ward owns everything 'Modern Warfare'. Hence why 'Call of Duty' became more of a subtitle in MW2 & 3.
----
Sorry, Infinity Ward - but this is just plain retarded now. :l
I hope that that company dies, no offence.
Or you know what, Treyarch should make their own franchise, instead of trying to do something great & original for the call of duty franchise. Let IW rot together with CoD.
Also, i lol'd at the part where it said that they should pay Infinity Ward for 'technology bonuses'. Hah..
Treyarch did more new textures, designs & graphical enhancements in Black Ops than what IW did ever since CoD2.
MW3 even looked worse than Black Ops, and also ran worse than MW2 on PC's, even though they looked identical.
Then why wasn't IW the first to make a future CoD then? I smell fail.
i personally could not give a fuck if Treyarch makes a CoD game. i personally prefer IW over Treyarch. But that's just me.

I blame the fact that the original founders left the company to pursue something more interesting and, well, overall better.
