You may never have noticed it before, but it has plagued my mind for a while, and it's well worth a look
I think he's thinking a little too far into it. =P
I'm sick a lot so I tend to always have tissues in my room...expect the tissues are a roll of toilet paper.

So what you're saying is master hand is a sick person? I'm not saying your wrong, but I'm not quite buying into the idea that that's the reason why the tissues are there. Game design is done with much more deliberation, and nothing is done in such a random way, there is always intent in design no matter what.
I get what you mean but that's only a theory.
It's also possible that the person Master Hand belongs to (if there is one) is an ill person. There's a theory going around that Master Hand and Crazy Hand belong to a child and that him playing with dolls (or trophies in later games) is like a child playing with action figures. That kid could have a serious illness. You never know.
Also, and I think this is the most plausible theory, the Japanese are very cleanly. I'd be it's more plausible to find tissues in a Japanese home than an American home and the games does originate in Japan.
Sorry I was so late with this reply. You posted the day I left, I believe.
...no, it's just a box of tissues. :I
To my knowlege, Japanese get ill easily, and they have a bad immunity that even a cold is fatal to them, so they take health more seriously than we do.
I mean, even in most anime, you'll find that in the bedrooms of most characters there is a tissue box somewhere.
