So with the rising popularity of fighting games recently it's only likely we'd see old franchises pop back up from the grave. This is, to my knowledge, one of those cases.
I've never had the chance to try the series myself but this looks worth my time if I can get my hands on it.

In terms of art style, yeah, but I'm going to assume that you haven't played either of those games because the side stepping shows that this game is going to be a 3D fighter. Honestly it reminds me more of the Zatch Bell game for Gamecube which, if I recall correctly, was fucking brilliant.
This looks like Persona 4 Arena in 3D
I've wanted to read Jojo. This game looks pretty good too.

I was thinking of trying the anime so I'd have a little sens of familiarity when I rented this..
All I know is that this anime/manga is where the whole "ZA WARDU" and the steam roller came from.
