So I was playing persona earlier, and Mitsuru gave me two warnings saying "I've got a bad feeling...." after I drew the death draws near card. I hear chains then Junpei says "HOLY SHIT IT'S DEATH". Death looks identical to Thanatos...
ANYWAYS
Are Thanatos and Death the same thing?
NO SPOILERS PLEASE (The farthest I am in the game is the first full moon btw)

Not as far as I know, but I never beat the game.
