Sup people, I'm on a quest. Randomly while watching Caddicarus I decided to write down "Play all the "hyped" games at least once" on my list of things I want to do before I die, and I decided to drag all of you into it.
So, my plan is that we all pick a game within the present or past that has reached "LEGENDARY" status, and over the course of a month we acquire it by whatever means and play it, then at the end of the month, I'll make a topic about said game and we discuss what we've played up until that point(yes, you don't have to beat it, I know how haphazard life can get) and see if we can collectively understand why the game was held in high regard for it's time, or if it's talked about even today.
So I say to get started we take the rest of this week to suggest the 8 games to be covered for the rest of this year, then next week we put to a vote the order in which to tackle them.
BTW, by "Legendary" I simply mean popluar, that includes being popular enough to be referenced in other games.
And heck, do you guys want to add well know bad games to the mix?
Anyway, my personal pick goes to Ape Escape for PSOne.

For the record though, I'm not. I generally just play what I feel like playing and I couldn't be positive that I could play, or even want to play, any of the games we decided on here.

That doesn't mean a damn thing, it makes the combat manageable, but the platforming is still hard as balls.
