Title: Motherfuckin' Contra
Post by: shadowDOESrock on May 01, 2013, 04:35:16 PM
What the fuck happened to the Contra Series?

The Last Console Retail Game was from 2004...
Okay, there was Contra: Hard Corps Uprising for PSN and XBLA in 2011 and Contra 4 sometime before that for DS...

...and this

But what happened to that?

Either:
A).The next Contra they would make wouldn't be a big enough step forward to justify not just playing the previous Contra
B).They suspect people these days wouldn't buy a game known for being "impossible".

On the latest one (Hard Corps Uprising) they added a (health bar? hit bar?)
You start with three hits before you die, but you can upgrade it to like 5 hits before you die.
And it was still hard.

So that couldnt possibly be issue....
But i guess people wouldnt buy a full price side-scroller...

Why does it have to be full price?

Well, it doesnt. But thats all there seems to be left.
Either full price retail or downloadable.

The 20, 30, 40 Dollar disc games are basically dying out, with a few exceptions.
