Just in time for the Sonic and Megaman crossover comic?

I wasn't interested until I realized the MC was a woman.

Bought it! This game is amazing!
It is quite literally a more agile 3D Megaman.

While I wish the Story had more substance, it's great!
Art-Direction and Music are fantastic as well!

This will certainly be one of my all-time favourites.

Oh, yeah - Jkid, if you ever planned to get this, wait until it has a controller patch. I know you dont like mouse controls and this the kinda shooter were controllers are preferred. They already said they're going to patch it in, thanks to the user input.

The closest thing to a Mega Man game would be Mighty No. 9.

This game is all about speedrunning so it's more like a Sonic game to me.

Well either way this game has very little in common with Mega Man. I guess before Mighty No. 9 was announced people were really desperate looking for a game to label as the next Mega Man.

I was also thinking about getting this game but it seems like it's really short and I'm not too fond of games where the replay value is trying to get a better score/time.

Only two?

This game looks to have much less content than most 3D Sonic games. Only around 20 levels with no optional missions or objectives. And I don't play Sonic games to beat my best times, I play them because they're (sometimes) just fun to play. This game looks to be fun too, but the lack of content makes me hesitant to take the plunge.

Looks really fun, Kinda like how I immagined the classic megaman games to play in 3D. but for some reason I don't like games that have you breeze through the levels.

You dont have to breeze through the levels.
Well, as much as in a Sonic Game. It uses a similar ranking system.

Point is, you can just play it to overcome the challenging levels and to unveil the story behind the main character.
Admittely, the Story here is done differently than in most games and is something some might hate.

Needs Team Deathmatch and Horde Mode to be worth it.

They actually have.

I, for one, don't need Multiplayer to enjoy a game. I value a game by the fun.

All them bottomless pits scare me tho.

"If Mirrors Edge and Sonic decided that they wanted to have a baby but then megaman x was upset cause he always wanted to have a baby with mirrors edge so he inserted nano machines to make the baby a bit more like him this game is what you would end up with!"

Well then.

What Sonic game has Team Deathmatch or Horde Mode?

I'm not even talking about multiplayer, I'm talking about stuff like extra missions, collectibles, or even the Chao Garden. All that stuff adds replay value but Cloudbuilt has none of that (not that I was expecting a Chao Garden).

Well, each stage has an item you can find and try to reach.
And there's multiple modes for each level like one-hit death, collect all orbs, unlimited boost mode

Also its really cheap

I guess that's pretty good.

And 20 bucks is cheap? I guess Humble Bundles have spoiled me because I'm so used to getting indie games for a couple dollars. I still might get the game eventually once it's cheaper, but I'll probably forget about it once Hover comes out.

Cause this "Megaman Drought" is still a thing.

Who's talking about it? The game is out and it isn't getting much more press. I doubt people will still be talking about it a month from now unless it goes on sale.

Elijah is right, this doesnt have a lot of fuzz about it.

Though, I should mention: This isnt actually "indie". It has a publisher behind it.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rising_Star_Games

I'm three hours in and it doesnt feel like it's ending soon. And it's getting really challenging. (Although not unfairly so). Though, I did experience two game overs. Speedrunning hasnt even been on my mind as of now, as I am just trying to finish the stages for the first time around.

So yeah, similar to Sonic, speedrunning itself comes after the completion.

I found these 20 Bucks to be totally worth it for this game.

Well there go the chances of it appearing in a Humble Bundle.

Aren't there only around 20 levels in the game? How long are they? Or are there lots of objectives to do in each level?

Currently I have 15 Unlocked that are replayable and there also was the opening stage.

It got an update a while back that added a few more levels and improved the performance a bit. It might be worth trying to play it again, Haku.
