Title: Sonic Exclusivity Deal elaborated
Post by: shadowDOESrock on May 17, 2013, 10:47:29 AM
Nintendo surprised many when they announced that Sonic: Lost World would be an exclusive title for the 3DS and Wii U. In addition to the latest Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games title, that's two Nintendo exclusives for the Blue Blur, and according to a press release from Sega, there will be one more title in this temporary alliance.

“Sonic the Hedgehog has proven incredibly successful on Nintendo platforms and we are pleased to continue our long-standing relationship with Nintendo,” said Preisdent & COO of Sega of America, John Cheng. “As we initiate this new exclusive partnership with the next three titles we believe that Wii Uâ,,¢ and Nintendo 3DSâ,,¢ are ideal platforms to showcase the evolution of the Sonic brand.”

Two of these, as already said, have been announced today.
What could the third one be?

"Sonic has been successful on Nintendo platforms"
Really? Is that why there's no Wii version of Sonic Generations? Or did the 3DS ver. outsell all the other versions?

literally half of this game's sells were on Nintendo's systems.

I believe the term is...

"Incredibly Underpowered Console not capable of running the Hedgehog Engine"

Is that how many units shipped? Or how many actually bought by customers?

Sonic Colours used the Engine used in Secret Rings / Black Knight- which is NOT the Hedgehog Engine.

Sonic Unleashed Wii was an outsourced version (not a port!)
and lol Sonic Unleashed sales
