Title: Sonic Dash Global Challenge

So as of today or yesterday or whatever, players of Sonic Dash have until August the 5th to do 100 laps to unlock Shadow as a playable character. Now I've tried this but no matter how long I go and how many times I've played the number of laps counter stays at zero. What exactly constitutes a lap?

Well then the latest global challenge was to collect presents and unlock Silver. The challenge was completed and Silver was unlocked! Did anyone else participate in this one? I did, but I barely played and only got a measly 20 presents or so. Maybe during the next global challenge I'll actually play more. :V
