Title: Yakuha HD bombing in Japan.
Post by: shadowDOESrock on Aug 18, 2013 10:58 PM
Sega recently released the "Yakuza HD Collection" in Japan - which is a hit franchise of GTA level there - with very dissapointing results.

The HD Collection features both Yakuza and Yakuza 2, equipped with higher-res textures and was released on the Wii U in Japan last week.

It sold less than 2000 Copies.

In other news, Yakuza: Ishin was announced in Japan today.

The Game seems to be set in Japan's history and feature real poltical figure Ryoma Sakamoto.

I think it's probably more that the games have been out for a long time and only on Sony console, so the only people that currently play them own Sony consoles. There isn't necessarily even a demand for Yakuza on Nintendo consoles at all.

That said, if they bring it here I will buy it.

Not to mention those who don't want to buy HD remakes of games they already own and still work...
