Google actually updated Youtube so that it's no longer compatible with the Wii U's browser, any attempt to do so will result in the Wii U freezing and will need to be shut down completely.
...why?
Because google wants you to use the app they developed.
Same reason why you have to register to Google+ if have a YouTube account.
Well how about instead of breaking every other method and force us to use their p.o.s. app, how about they make their app not a p.o.s.?
And even if they had to stop the Wii U's browser from Youtubing, why did they have to do it so that the whole console freezes and make weird internal noises?
Also thanks Google, you just horribly crippled the Wii U's usefulness by 80%, I hope you're f*cking proud of yourself. One of the main/core reasons the Wii U became my favourite console was cause of the multitasking it could do with the browser, and now you took that away.
Christ, now I know how that kid who sued Sony for taking away Linux feels. Did he win that case btw?

The Wii U got an update yesterday that gave a workaround for this issue, in addition to other cool things.
