http://www.tssznews.com/2013/11/12/interview-reveals-sonic-writer-pontac-knows-nothing-of-sonic-history/ (http://www.tssznews.com/2013/11/12/interview-reveals-sonic-writer-pontac-knows-nothing-of-sonic-history/)

So the series pretty much got rebooted with Sonic Colours
That expalins why everyone acts soo differently from before...

That's pretty weird, writing for a series your not familiar with, but at least he did some research...
I always thought the series got rebooted since Unleashed rather than Colours

>Did Research
>Isn't familiar with Sonic Adventure

GG

This would also explain the minimal amount of references in Sonic Generations...

Why did SEGA even allow this?

I don't consider it a reboot, though. He obviously knows a bit about the game to have made the references he did in Colors.

I'd honestly love to help him out with that but eh. *slapped*

I meant Generations. I'm really stupidly tired if you can't tell.

No, I can't

And the only references they made were Genies and Aliens in amusement parks, and that Green Hill and Chemical Plant were familiar to Sonic and Tails

A quick wiki coulda told 'em that, and that's kinda what he admitted to doing.

I wonder if this is why everyone's soo out of character...

How much out of character? Sonic's cocky as always and Tails is still the smart one. Unless i'm missing something from Lost Worlds about Knux and Amy.

>Implying they had much character to begin with.

Sonic is a cocky bastard. Tails is the smart one. Knuckles is a dumbass and Amy is obsessive.

I remember Sonic giving a girl a lecture to live life to the fullest cause we will all die one day

I remember Tails being sincere, not snarky

I remember Knuckles giving Rouge a hard talk about being a thieving bitch.

I remember Amy going into Eggman's base by herself to save a bird.

I couldn't picture Sonic putting his hand in Amy's face to keep her away, or Knuckles asking Sonic about his weight, or Shadow saying "Lawl Sonic, u challenge me again? Did I not kick ur ass hard enough last time even though you won?", or Shadow saying "You got this Sonic" for that matter, or Amy using the "flirt".

Sonic has had to work with Eggman before and he wasn't soo aggro about it, Where did this whole "You trust Eggman more than me" comment from Tails come from? Since when was Knucckles an arrogant ass calling Sonic "Weak" for just getting one flickie container?

Or maybe I'm the one missing something...

Clearly you haven't read all the Sonic novels or listened to the Sonic radio show.

I'm pretty sure the games are a seperate entity from everything else
Unless you're gonna tell me that Super Sonic really is an evil spawn of Satan trapped within Sonic that gets free whenever Sonic gets upset...

I'll be honest...
I didnt notice the change in the characters themselves.

What I did notice that we moved from Japanese-y Children Villians to American-y Children Villians.

or in short- the complete removal of any 'drama'.

Someone hasn't played Lost World =/

The bring back the pointless drama, but the characters are still shit...
Can we get the Sonic and the Secret Rings writer back plz?
