Title: So I Found Out De-Listing Is a Thing
Post by: Hakudamashi on December 15, 2013, 04:57:41 PM
Games are apparently getting removed from PSN and Xbox Live
First was Skullgirls at the request of Konami, and now UMvC3... I'm worried...

Welcome to the digital future.

Yep, one of the downfalls of not sticking to physical media.

Welcome to the digital future.
I want to see the look on the faces who were advocating going full digital
"It's soo convenient, all the people saying corporations an just take them down are paranoid" =/

Words cannot describe my anger and disgust for these people, so let's stop talking about them

Now even less people are gonna be exposed to one of my more preferred fighting games. And if games really can just simply be requested to be taken off from online market places, what system is in place to not have this abused? They were already de-listing demos left and right...

And what of DLC? DL characters, stages... "true endings"? We're just gonna have to sit there with our "incomplete" games cause we were waiting for a complete edition that never came, or cause we didn't have the money at the time...

There are negatives and positives to Digital distribution. This is a negative that a lot of people seem to focus on.

The thing is, the positives or Digital are just too great to ignore.

I honestly hope these markets can continue to exist side by side. Without digital, many games Like Skullgirls probably wouldn't even exist let alone be there to get taken down.

I'd love for these 2 markets to coexist as well, but as it is right now, the negatives are just too big for me to handle...

And it's f*cking fantastic, best thing to come outta 2013

But I still don't wanna go outta my way for digital games... it's screwed me over one too many times...
