Title: Is our planet a living creature?
Post by: Ioshyriku on Jan 29, 2014 11:43 AM
I know my question sound kinda dumb, but is there a possibility for out planet to be a living organism and we just take advantage of it's life sustaining elements? Sort of like how bacteria does on our bodies?

Depends on what you're considering as the planet.

You know, like eating, breathing and stuff. It could breath through plant-life, and putrefaction is pretty similar to how food gets after it gets digested.

But plant life is living, and bodies decompose on their own.

The planet doesn't breathe through plants, the plants breathe for themselves.
