Title: Activision giving CoD Devs a year more dev time to improve quality of franchise
Post by: shadowDOESrock on Feb 6, 2014 11:20 AM
But that wont stop them from releasing yearly.

Call of Duty is now a three-studio franchise with a three-year rotation schedule, with Modern Warfare 3 co-developer Sledgehammer Games entering the ranks.

Infinity Ward, Treyarch and Sledgehammer Games will now each have three years to produce a Call of Duty game, rotating through in a staggered fashion to continue the yearly release cycle.

Sledgehammer is behind the 2014 Call of Duty, although no further details were revealed.
Sledgehammer already has one year more development time for their 2014 CoD in comparison to the others.

The news comes from the twin publisher's fourth quarter 2013 report, in which it revealed better than expected results for the quarter and full year ending December 2013 despite a year-on-year dip.

For anyone that only follows one of the developers this is a dream come true. Plus, i was getting kinda of tired of Sledgehammer only having polishing detail on this series.
