Bad Guy:I'm evil
Edea:Y u do dis? D:
Bad Guy:Ur just a kid, you'll never understand.
Tiz:What?
Agnes:I hate EVERYTHING!
Ringabell:Tits.
The sad thing is...That isn't too far from what actually does happen.
Worst, written, story, ever.

Literally every conversation ever.
But this game, has the balls, to pull a Sonic Heroes.
By pulling this "alternate world" storyline out of it's ass, you have to beat all the bosses, awaken all the crystals, and travel all the lands again not once, not twice, but FOUR TIMES before you get to the ending
And get this. To make sure you aren't too overlevelled for when you essentially play the game again for these four times, the bosses don't give you EXP...
Yeah, I heard that the second half of the game really sucks. I guess I'll just play the demo 30 times and never buy the full game.

Honestly... I'd recommend you do that too.
Terrible Square Enix writing strikes again.
Oh, come on, it's not that bad. Sure, the writing and voice acting is a bit derpy. Sure, the game itself doesn't make any sense. I don't know about you guys, but to me it really doesn't matter. I don't care if the story is written poorly at times. Sure, the game can be "meh" or sometimes "cheap" or "bad" at times. But when it's good, it's REALLY FREAKING GOOD. And personally, I think that this is one of the best games that Square Enix has released. In fact, in my opinion it's actually BETTER than all of the other Final Fantasy games before it. Once in a while, you need to take off the rose colored glasses.
No Final Fantasy game ever in the history of ever made you play the game 5 times before you get to the actual final boss
Good gameplay is great, and should be the core reason you get a game
But christ, if you're gonna give me a story that's painful to go through, even the best of gameplay may not be worth it.

Honestly, the only part of the game that made me cringe was the Florem part of the game. Other than that, I haven't really noticed many flaws with the story. Though, the more I play it the more it seems like Square Enix took Final Fantasy I and made it into a new game. Also, five times? WHAT?! Fneh, whatever. I can deal with that. Wait but then that means that I'll have to go through Florem 5 times...
Yes
You have to go through Florem 5 times
Have fun.

Don't even get me started on the beauty pageant part of the Florem portion of the game. And the people in Florem are just so unbelievably annoying. literally every single stereotypical girl trope is alive and well in Florem.
I guess you'll be happy to find out they're all poisoned and going to die slowly and horribly.

Good. Every citizen in Florem should burn.
Sucks that you already killed Ominus.

Whelp, there's always the Black Mage job. And Black Magic in general.
Tell me about how you burn people with blizzard.

Have you never heard of frostbite? It's pretty much the same thing.
Do tell.

You do know that Black Mages can learn fire magic, right? And, like Jkid said, frostbite.
It's just you said Black Magic in general as opposed to just saying Fire...
As if there are other black magic spells that burn things.

And Thunder.
Or you could just cast Fire...
The Thunder spell conjures a lightning bolt.
Lightning can set fire to anything that is flammable.
Gen 7 Pokemon, Elec types are now fire types.
vvell then.
