What is Lords of the Fallen?
Well, it's a rip-off of the Souls Series. Aaand the developer admits it.
They love Dark Souls. They love it to death.
But they keep hearing about People who stop playing the game early on or stay away it because of its reputation of being really hard. So, their goal was to make a Souls-like game (with their own style) that everyone can pick up, understand, and play. No need to look at a giant scrolling list of stats or understanding, cryptic messages and lots of backtracking. And with a more comfortable high-fantasy tone, instead of the dark hoplessness of the Souls' series. However, ofcourse they wont drop what a souls game was about - the challenge. However, it'll be way more on the fair side, thanks to things like checkpoints or envoiremental hazards. The battles are more about technical skill e.g blocking and dodging. The Combat is also ment to be faster and more fluid than a Souls games'.
