There has been no gameplay yet, but it's being developed by Shin'en, who did Nano Assault Neo.
They're saying that their game apparently pushes the Wii U to its limits.
It will run at 720p, 60fps and here are the first screenshots
the game will also feature dynamic lightning and weather

I'm hoping Miyamoto steps in like he did with Dinosaur Planet and tells them to turn it into a Mario Kart F-Zero game.

Okay, but you were hoping that Miyamoto would step in to help a third-party developer develop a game that Nintendo aren't even publishing. That's a stupid thing to hope for.
